  1. Some people need to print pages as is for school assignments.
  2. What if someone wants to copy the page as is, though? It makes sense to have the media specified in the one link, in that case.
  3. You may want to look at the other post from earlier today. I advised you on how to stop that happening there. 35% is still too large of a width for most browsers, since the margin will be 35% of the total screen size.
  4. That would require altering the CSS. I'd suggest looking at : >#content { padding: 0px; padding-top: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-left: 150px; margin-right: 350px; } The right margin seems a big excessive. Try changing 350px to 15%.
  5. It does seem odd that a two columned, left-aligned layout shrinks when i minimize my browser, even though I'm on a high resolution. I do notice that the commenting around the "body" in your CSS file is still there. See if removing that helps with the printing issue? It should look like : >body { margin-top: 10px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 2px; margin-left: 30px } not ><!-- body { margin-top: 10px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 2px; margin-left: 30px } -->
  6. Try this : ><link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="http://www.antandsons.com/style.css" /> It may be an issue with the order of elements within the link.
  7. Try deleting the <style type="text/css"> and </style> tags from your CSS file. They don't belong there. Also delete the commenting around the body field in your CSS file.
  8. You don't need to alter the CSS file at all. That link should work, as your webpage looks exactly the same as it did before for me.
  9. It looks exactly the same here. Have you copied the above code exactly, and linked to the CSS file properly? I just copied the code as I have it on my site and substituted your link for mine, so it should work.
  10. Yep, it should look like : ><link rel="stylesheet" href="http://www.antandsons.com/style.css" type="text/css" media="print" /> And you need to replace that bit of code on your pages with the code above, yup.
  11. Your stylesheet include should look like this : ><link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="..." media="print" />
  12. I found the issue. The paragraph tag had been given attributes of 0px margin and 0px padding and it was paying attention to it, even though I'd specified my own attributes further down the file. I also realized that I had linebreak conversions enabled in MT, so the break tags were being recognized and the p tags weren't.
  13. I hope someone can, as this is driving me crazy.
  14. Thanks. : ) I've been going through the CSS bit by bit, cleaning it up in case I did make an error somewhere that wonked the breaks up. I just wish it the answer to my issue were as simple as 'px'.
  15. I've just finished the bare bones of a three-column design on my blog, and I've noticed that the 'br' tag isn't working or won't show up. For example >my name is marie. <br /> i'm twenty-one years old. <br /> i was born in ireland, but live in dallas as of april '05. would look like this : Everything looks cluttered and cramped without the breaks, which I really hate. This is one thing that's baffling me. I can't find anything in my CSS which could cause this, but I'm also only learning about CSS fully so it's possible that I missed something.
  16. Comfort
  17. I use Coffeecup HTML Editor to edit lists in batch - going through each line one by one is an almighty pain, and the Find / Replace tool is invaluable. (I know a lot of things have this but I used Coffeecup way back when, so I stuck with it.) I use Notepad for everything else.
  18. You can turn indexing off by going to your Cpanel / Index Manager, then following the directions.
  19. You can use an encoder for your email address. I have, and it's the only one that's never received spam.
  20. Scripts like Tag-Boards and such allow users to use their code on their website, so you're safe there. However, if you have a lot of scripts like that then that may be slowing you down quite a tad. I'd look for a script that runs on your own server instead of pulling it from a third party.
  21. I had the same problem, DWD, and it was an issue with Mail.pm.
  22. No problem. (Surprised I actually got something right for a change. Heh.)
  23. You could rename the file as 404.shtml and put it in your public_html folder.
  24. Take a look here.
  25. I tried to send the email one more time - just in case - and I haven't received an error so far. I've ticked the Authentication box even still, but I'm just wondering why I couldn't send her anything but could email other people with no issues.
