  1. This seems to be the only one that could apply out of the three.
  2. I keep receiving the following message whenever I try to email someone. I can comment fine, and receive their replies perfectly. However, whenenever I try to reply I immediately get this error : I can email other people with no issues whatsoever, so authentication isn't an issue.

I wouldn't recommend NeoMail - I seem to remember a post by TCH's Head Guru about how it's unsupported and hasn't been updated to counter security issues, and is no longer being supported by TCH.
  4. I have to agree with borfast here. Most of the people with "no lives" are the script kiddies and losers who live in their mother's basements, hacking into online accounts and websites in order to deface them with "kewl" things, act out a grudge, or look cool in front of their other dorky friends. I've known a few people in my life who have either stumbled across exploits or actively searched for them, and informed the relevant people of it. Some people just like doing it, and are good at it. I don't necessarily think that they should be dumped on because of the stigma that the kids and losers give off.
  5. Konfabulator - a cross-OS tool with hundreds of widgets to choose from. It wasn't always free ($20, maybe?) but Yahoo just bought it and it seems to have been a catalyst to start giving it away for free. I, personally, am using the graphical moon phase widget, as well as the Post-It notes, weather, calendar, translator and language character widgets. It's pretty invaluable.
  6. You may want to look at this, and maybe this too. Also this one. If you follow the instructions to the letter, you shouldn't have problems. It looks like you didn't follow step 3 (on the last link) correctly.
  7. The format in the file is completely wrong ; it looks nothing like it should, and contains superfluous data. Other than that, I'd say you're good to go. The reason the entries aren't showing is because MT can't sort the data into the specific fields. . . Nevermind. David got there first.
  8. Are the entries appearing in your archive folders? May be an issue with the format of the saved entries file. I had to redo all of mine a while back.
  9. It would appear that Six Apart have raised the bar that bit higher when it comes to making Movable Type easier for those of us who don't have oodles of time to wonk with every little setting and file. Lovely.
  10. That is disgusting. The topic of the post also reminds me of a news story I read recently, in which a man beat his three-year old for months to prevent him from becoming gay. The child slipped into a coma, and died.
  11. I actually didn't even mean to take the shot at such a close proximity .. I haven't used this camera much, and was trying to capture the whole bouquet. I just used the "Scene / Close Up (flower icon)" setting which is macro but with a flash, I guess. It really made the color come to life, as I tried it with regular macro and it was so washed out.
  12. Working nicely now, thanks. : )
  13. That fixed it. Thanks. Cripes, something so simple. Now all I need to do is figure out a way to stop the sidebar from breaking up.
  14. Ok, scratch the above post too. I still need help with the original issue. Yeesh.
  15. Ok, so someone messed the work I did up, but it's their site so I can't complain. Nevermind.
  16. On this website, I'm trying to get the blog posts and sidebar to both be contained in the 'container' div. As you can see, the container div stops just above the sidebar and blog posts. I've no idea why, as all the div tags are accounted for and in place. I've looked over my CSS and nothing seems to be out of order. It's baffling me.
  17. I think I understand. Say I have PhotoABC.jpg, and it's in folder XYZ that contains photos I'd like to password protect. I add password protection, and that's dandy. What if I want PhotoABC.jpg to appear on my blog without a password prompt or a big red X? Only photograph in the directory that I want to show but it's part of a set or somesuch, so it isn't worth my time creating a new directory just for it alone. I think thats what fiberse wants.
  18. No worries.
  19. You find your MT directory, and run mt-check.cgi. Type [yourdomain]/mt (or cgi-bin/mt)/mt-check.cgi into your address bar, press enter, and the information will come up on the screen. Example : >http://yahoo.com/mt/mt-check.cgi or http://yahoo.com/cgi-bin/mt/mt-check.cgi
  20. It's the third title down when you run yourdomain/mt/mt-check.cgi.
  21. Why would he be going to the police?
  22. I would contact his host, explaining the situation and including any emails or copies of the threats you have. I'd also ask them to be discreet, and explain your fears.
  23. Thanks, everyone. : )
  24. You could find out what his host is (through whois.sc or others), and have him removed from their services for all kinds of abuse. Or, if the threats are serious and more than just posturing, you could contact authorities (not sure which - someone here will help).
