Wow, Rob. Thanks. I should probably mention, in case anyone wonders, that the photograph was taken with a Nikon 2200 on the "Scene / Close Up" setting, and is completely un-edited, save for the border.

I'm exceptionally proud of how this turned out. I know that there are some photographers on the board, but everyone is welcome to share their thoughts. I'm an amateur by far, so I suppose this is a bit of ego stroking.

It's just unbelievable.

Yeah, I have to agree. I've never had a host this attentive ; even when my host was someone I could IM and receive a reply instantly, it was usually ages until he did something about the issue. Well done, everyone at TCH.

I've been using Thunderbird ever since its first release.

This script is very handy ; it gives the option of allowing your visitors to open links in new windows or not. http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex8/newwindow.htm

I've opened a help desk ticket . . However, I don't have the latest version of Movable Type ; I use MT3.15.

I've been trying to access it all day, and it keeps saying that the address can't be found. I'll boot up the laptop and see if it's an issue with Firefox.

(I'm writing this here, as opposed to sending a ticket, because I can't seem to access the Help Desk page.) I've recently started receiving Internal Server Error messages whenever I try to access either my Blacklist or Conversationkiller plugins. The permissions haven't changed -- as I haven't had reason to access the cgi files and perhaps accidentaly change them -- and I can't think of anything else that could be wrong, as every other plugin works perfectly. Any ideas? (These plugins do, I understand, work on background tasks and scheduled maintenance so I was wondering if the plugins were disabled due to their making demands on the server.)

In regards to excessive new windows, personally I'd prefer the option to click on a link -- any link and select if I want a new window myself. A new window opening for me automatically is highly irritating, as I may be working on something else. I'm sure that a lot of people feel the same way.

Site Images Spontaneously "rotting"
marie b. replied to Boojum's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Looks fine to me, too. -
I, personally, think it's a requirement to point people to the best quality host out there, more than anything else. Sort've a public service.

I'm a freshman college student (just off the boat from Ireland), a week away from completing my first semester of summer school. I used to "work" for a software company as technical and customer support.

Try linking to the CSS with : >http://yoururl.com/presentation.css It doesn't have to be in the form of a directory path.

Did you move it to be inside the MT directory?
-
Maybe I'm wrong here -- and I frequently am -- but I thought that MT plugins were always installed in the plugins directory inside the MT directory unless it specifies that they be installed elsewhere (in which case, installation shouldn't be a problem). Therefore, if you have public_html/mt/ or cgi-bin/mt/, they'd be in the public_html/mt/plugins folder or cgi-bin/mt/plugins, etc.

Remote Publishing Directory would be something like "public_html", I expect.

Your "host name" is your domain, not your literal host's name.

Tinkering with CSS and PHP, photography, writing, studying (yes, really), blogging. My new hobby is preparing for the arrival of one of my best friends - he's moving here to go to university too.

Sometimes, I'm so slow that I scare myself. I overlooked the padding for the treemenu UL - it wasn't defined, and therefore was showing the default padding for a list (15px or 20px or so). I added it and defined it as 0, and everything's fine.
-
It definitely has something to do with the LI and UL tags - I deleted UL tags that were nested inside the treenode LI tags, as I thought that they were surplus, and it messed the whole thing up. My guess is that it's either a CSS issue or, worst case, a case of needing to slightly rewrite the script that the whole thing is based on.

On my blog -- link on profile, since I'm not allowed to post it -- I have expandable sidebar blocks. The block has a left padding of 10px, so that the images aren't squished against the border. The link to expand each block (beside the + and - signs) has a padding of 13px, since it won't work without it for some reason. This padding is applied to all other links in the block too, which seriously fugs things up. My problem is that I can't get the list of blog links to only pad to 10px - they're padded to over 20px, as far as I can make out. I've deleted all padding and re-added it step by step, but can't seem to figure it out. The links are nested inside treemenu and treenode UL and LI tags, but I've also modified their padding to no avail. Any help is appreciate. (Link to CSS here.)

Cpanel/webmail Inaccessible With Firefox
marie b. replied to seancb's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
I think that this was supposed to be a reply to another thread. . . Just clarifying - I can't actually offer any help.
