  1. That's beautiful. And is making me miss my puppy even more.
  2. class
  3. I'd try to help you with MT -- if I knew what the problem was -- but not by email. You're better off posting any questions here or over on the Movable Type forum.
  4. clench
  5. Clear Type actually hurts my eyes - I've tried it on an ooold 15" Gateway monitor, a 21" LCD flatscreen, and a 17" Notebook, and I don't like it on any of them.
  6. One weekend. Never been a big fan of having no Internet access.
  7. I know that there's a way to do this in Javascript, but I can't remember the site with the instructions. I'll keep looking.
  8. Happy birthday to the kidlet.
  9. It seems perfectly normal here. If I could make a suggestion, though . . lastn=300 seems a bit much, especially for those on dial-up. I'd look into installing MTPaginate, and changing lastn to a much smaller number. Then again, that's only a suggestion.
  10. It looks perfectly normal here . .
  11. No problem. Hopefully, you'll be up 'n' running soon.
  12. Download and install MT Medic. Takes all of three seconds, and it's extremely handy. You can alter any authors and passwords from outside the Movable Type interface.
  13. I was wondering that myself, and it makes sense now.
  14. Log into your cPanel and then click "File Manager." Click the folder icons in this order - public_html / invisionboard / html, and then click the folder name "emoticons" (not the icon itself). On the right hand side, you'll see options that include "Change Permissions." Make sure all of the checkboxes are ticked. You could also log into your FTP client and follow public_html / invisionboard / html, and then right-click on the "emoticons" folder. Permissions can be set through either "properties" or "actions - CHMOD."
  15. I've done it a couple times when I couldn't remember specific paths to photo directories, so it should work for this too. I'd go from public_html/invisionboard/html/emoticons. You should be able to change the permissions from the folder in cPanel or your FTP software.
  16. If your forum software is up and running, it should come with emoticons already installed (which, I assume, is where you're uploading your chosen emoticons to). Open the panel to post a new topic, and open the emoticon panel from there. Right-click an emoticon, select "Properties" and you'll be able to follow the path to the emoticon folder from there. (Of course, that's assuming that you do have the forum software up and running.)
  17. It may have been easier to install the v3.15 update as a plugin (available on movabletype.org), which takes all of one second to upload. You would have been good to go before server issues wonked your update up.
  18. good idea. i sometimes forget to check for lastest versions of Movable Type (i'm running v3.15), and usually only catch up when reading sites other than the MT homepage.
  19. It may seem like a silly question, but have you tried yoursite.com/Cpanel? I've found that Cpanel is case sensitive, and wracked my brain for hours with my old host on how to access it until I tried an uppercase "C."
  20. I think I just stomped on "Relationship Wellness Month" by posting a ranting, foulmouth blog entry about how I'm sick and tired of our apartment always becoming messy as soon as I clean it. (Luckily, he expects me to be opinionated.)
  21. Hey! I'm going to keep track of Alice Sebold's releases, and read them all, even though the ending of the book was a little out of place to the rest of it. It really is. I've never been so involved in a book as I was with The Lovely Bones.
  22. "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold. I highly recommend it.
