You can just leave the remote directory blank since they will go straight to the test subdirectory and will not be able to see anything except test and any directories created off of test. They will not be able to see public_html or any other directories you have made off of public_html.

Go to Manage Accounts under the FTP menu and add an account. Use "test" dor a Login and assign a password. You would also use "test" for the directory (this will be filled in for you when you choose a login name but can be changed if you wish.) The ftp information would then be: host = ftp.****** username = test@****** password = passwordfortest Logging in using this information would give the user access to the subdirectory test and all directories under it but not to your main public_html directory.

How did you pay? You should have received an email from the credit card processor pretty quickly with payment information. Once payment is made it does take some time, usually 4 to 12 hours, to get the account set up and then you will receive a Welcome Email with information needed to access your account.

Please submit a Help Desk ticket and we will look into the problem. Include as much information as you can about software you are using, versions, etc.

There is no charge for parking a domain on top of another. All it takes is submitting a Help Desk ticket telling us which domains you wish to park on your account.

What OS are you running? If you are running Win XP or 2000 you might also try running ipconfig /flushdns from the command line to flush your local machine dns cache. I still suspect it is your ISP's cache (seems most users with this problem are on Comcast) but it won't hurt to try it.

If you look at Latest Visitors in AWStats you may see that one IP was responsible. If so, you could try adding an IP block on that address to keep him out. Send me a PM if you want me to look into it.

Under the E-Mail Menu on cPanel there is an option called Forwarders. This will do exactly what you want.

cPanel 6 is the GUI for controlling your web space with all accounts on TCH.

You can always search your logs and see if the image is being requested from a certain ip a lot. You could then do an ip deny, it seems.

Is it possible? Yes. Is it a good idea? Only if you want to see a "This Site has Been Suspended. Please contact Technical Support." page where your site was. Any use of your web page that uses too many system resources will result in suspension until the problem is corrected. Repeated abuse results in termination. Unless you had the server carefully configured to prevent too many users, updating too often, etc. it would be a risk.

You are responsible for being sure that your site is in compliance with the TOS and AUP as found on the main TCH website. If you allow other people to have access to placing content on your site you are also responsible to see that they abide by the TOS and AUP. The only reason I can see of allowing others to create subdomains on your site is to allow them to set up a separate site. This is in violation of the AUP and can result in termination of the account.

The most common error is not having the user added to the database. The drop down boxes below where you add the database names is where this is set. Just select the username in one box and the corresponding database in the other and click on Add User to Db. If you have done this, give a little more information on what you are trying to install. Perhaps someone else has installed it and can point out the secret.

You should be able to get into the WHM via your IP address once you receive the email. If your domain has not propagated you will need to enter via the IP address as descibed in the email. If are still having problems, please enter a Help Desk Ticket and we will look into it. Please be sure to include all the information requested to prevent delays.

Btrfld is correct, use ManageMysql to see the database and user names. To change the password (should you forget it) just delete the user and recreate it with a new password. Then Add that user back to the database through the dropdown boxes.

I meant to update this then got distracted. The solution we came to was to delete the Outlook email account and use the autoconfigure in the Manage Email menu of cPanel to recreate that. Ran a few tests and all worked well.
