I Can't Find "add On Domain" In Cpanel
TCH-Andy replied to jclick's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Hi Jason, An add-on domain such as clickshouse.com using a subdomain - such as to 4clicksgps.com/wordpress is against our terms. Parked domains point to exactly the same space as your main domain (ie, you can only redirect to the main domain, not a sub-domain). In this case clickhouse.com would go to the same files as 4clicksgps.com. The best option is either multiple accounts or (as I do myself) a reseller account, then you can host them all easily. -
Hi, Yes, you can forward emails. Note: we do block automatic forwards to AOL - simply because of AOL's anti-spam system which marks us as the source of any spam it receives as a forward. Hence, to ensure our servers are not blacklisted, we do not allow forwards to AOL.

Hi, Yes, you can test using the IP as a temporary measure before moving the domain name over. Please not though, that some scripts do not work properly when not using a domain name. Yes, it's easy enough to transfer the domain name to another registrar.

Why not just use gmail or one of the other email services? I wouldn't recommend setting up email accounts for others, because it won't be long before a spammer uses an account, and your account will be suspended / terminated and the spammer will not care in the slightest

Excellent post Raj

Can you PM me the full headers to both emails (so that should be one that goes to junk, and one that doesn't) and I'll take a quick look, and see if I can spot what's causing it.

Bandwidth Not Adding Up In Cpanel?
TCH-Andy replied to TCH-JimE's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
I'm glad it's all working for you now, Jimuni Thanks for the kind words -
That would depend on your spam filters. What are you using to send things to junk? Is this accounts on our servers ? Using spam assassin? Or is it to say a yahoo or gmail account ?
-
I'd have a look at the headers on the email sent, along with the settings / filters on the junk mail. If you are using spam assassin, it will tell you on the headers why it has given it the score it has.
-
Is the whole account over it's limit ? Also, sometimes it's stuff in the sent items etc. If you can't find it, open a ticket - and we'll take a look.

I'm not sure how well it works with a flash card - but try http://www.runtime.org/

Bandwidth Not Adding Up In Cpanel?
TCH-Andy replied to TCH-JimE's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Hi Jim, I'd guess that there are two entries for your subdomain in one of the cpanel setup files for your account - hence it is out by a factor of two. Open a ticket, and we'll take a look (Since you understand the technical, ... I'm guessing /var/cpanel/users/your_username is at fault. I've seen that cause the problem. ) -
Hi, 1. The problem looks like you are not forcing to 100% width, hence it is going to two lines in FF, and messing up your menu. 2. Taking validation is basically one line at a time. Use a validator such as http://validator.w3.org/ and read the description of each warning. In your case the first error is 3. (Linked to above)... You have to tell it what you want to be encoding in, and hence what it should interpret it as. I would suggest; ><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">

Welcome to the forum Brutis You would need to open a ticket at the help desk to do what you require, it can not be done from cpanel.

Hi Marcel, As Rob says, we don't have shared windows hosts. As Aaron correctly points out though, we do offer dedicated servers which can be windows based. I'm guessing you may not be after a dedicated server though.

Problem Downloading Site From Some Links
TCH-Andy replied to Mission's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Hi, If Earthlink (which I assume are your ISP since you mention them) are having problems with their nameservers (DNS), it would affect links and all ways of getting to some sites. It could easily affect a .org but not a .com - depending on exactly what the error is. You are best to contact them to find that out. My guess is, that it will be fine for others, not using your ISP, but it's difficult to check, without seeing the links themselves.
