Using the IMG tag on the forum hotlinks an image from a URL. Example: To find the path to an image, right click the image and select Properties. Highlight the URL and CTRL-C to copy it. Now, this HOTLINKS the image. Make sure that if you hotlink you have permission to do so. Lianna

Yep, the board's acting kinda freaky. I can login and see 5 or 6 areas on the board that show new topics/responses. I click into one of those and read the topic. Mark as read and return to the index....whamo, no more unread posts! LOL Wish all my work was that easy! Hmmm. Wonder what's so different? Let me look into it.

Honestly, I've never attempted an upgrade to the 2.0.2 version of phpBB that is stock with cPanel. So, I'm no help. I would suggest that you refer your question to the authorities of the software: phpBB.com Their user community forums are a plethora of support. Lianna

If you can drop in a helpdesk ticket about this, they can take a look in more detail. I assume from your example that you want to access the subdomain, correct? If so, then have you created the ftp user for the subdomain? Did you create that user before or after the creation of the subdomain itself? The ftp user must be set with the exact same username as the subdomain name: subdomain = mysub.**** ftp username = mysub Lianna

Which board are you using? For phpbb, here are the current settings for my bb: /forum/ 755 /forum/all folders 777 /forum/all files 644 Hope that helps.

Ok, I think I understand. See if I'm on the right track here (I'm using examples for domain names, etc.) - 1. You have a domain name like karlfranz.com 2. You have a hosting package at TCH for that domain name. 3. You also have a site that is hosted on a free provider and is currently using a domain name of welcome.to/karl If all of that is correct, then I have to ask: a. Is the site that is free hosted and gotten to via welcome.to/karl different than the site that you are planning to host via your domain name on TCH (karlfranz.com)? b. If the site IS different then you want to be able to have welcome.to/karl to point to a site in your karlfranz.com domain hosted here? c. You really don't care about keeping the welcome.to/karl part, but do want to have the site moved over to TCH as a part of your karlfranz.com domain? OR d. The welcome.to/karl site IS the site that will become karlfranz.com? See, a domain and a site are really very different things and thus create all kinds of combinations.
