  1. The phpbb install is provided via cPanel. So whatever version they have included in their package is what we have installed. Lianna
  2. George, Dognamedmoses is correct. The only way to host multiple domains in a single account at TCH is with a reseller plan. To my knowledge, there are no plans to include an 'add-on' package option. Lianna
  3. Thanks! We appreciate your business and any business that you can bring us.
  4. Keep that mouth open! At this time there is not a referral incentive except for those warm fuzzies. Stay tuned though.... Lianna
  5. All of those things can be done. There are not specific scripts for them through cPanel though. You will need to find the scripts and install them as needed, but the server should be configured such that the the scripts are usable. Just keep in mind that all of the TCH servers are Unix based (as opposed to Windows) when you are looking at specifications for scripts. Try DynamicDrive.com for some ideas. Lianna
  6. Ok, I understand. I think there is an option though on phpBB to allow guests to post without registration. Lianna
  7. You can allow the visitors to upload their own pictures. I don't see an actual 'gallery' feature available where you would give them certain sets of pics to choose from. That is more like Avatars in Bulletin Board applications though. I'm not sure yet that I understand your desire for the Guestbook rather than Bulleting Board. I really don't know the answer to your question about the install of different languages. From looking in the guestbook folder on the server, there is a folder called /lang within which there is a .php file that contains translations such as: Seems that creating a chinese based .php file could easily be accomplished and added in. Again though, I think that for a more robust and flexible application you should look into phpBB or Invision Board. Lianna
  8. Well, hot dang. I was actually on the right track for knowing absolutely nothing about PostNuke, huh? You rock Rick!
  9. Thank you very much to lstover! You're welcome! This is a good guestbook,it doesn't display IP,that's safe to visitors That is a setting that you can turn on and off via the Administration panel I have two questions about this questbook to ask lstover. 1. Can I set the pictures myself?(to let the visitors to choose) Not sure what pictures you are talking about? 2. Can I change the language of the guestbook?(as the same way of forum) I just changed mine to German so that you could see it. Available are Dutch, English, German, Polish. Let me know what you mean by the pictures and I'll test it out for you. Lianna
  10. Dorsey, I just connected to one of my sites via DW-MX and had no difficulty at all. I didn't know if your domain name had prop'd yet, so I tried it both ways (IP address connection and via domain name connection). Both were smooth. I viewed my log and it showed a different PORT string: My internal IP is 192.168.1.100 from behind my firewall. I do not have passive checked. I can transfer files just dandy. Can you list here what you have entered for each of your remote site settings (except password)? Lianna
  11. Mmm. Not from guestbook. That email comes from "nobody@theirhostaddress" like (edited): And the body of the message is full context of the entry left on the book. Anybody else got any ideas? Wiccan, what kinds of cpanel scripts have you installed? Lianna
  12. We posted at the exact same time! Anyway, for future readers of this post, here's the link for more info about SSH access policy. Lianna
  13. No, for security reasons, we do not offer any telnet access. You may, however, request SSH access. It does have some requirements (including a setup fee). You can read more about it on this forum....just a sec and I'll get you the link. Lianna
  14. Ok, so now ya got me curious. I just went to your site and looked around. I expected that maybe you had a guestbook script installed from cPanel. So I looked for guestbook, forum, mailing list. Here's my thinking. I just installed Adv. Guestbook a couple of hours ago and noticed that I can set an email address up to receive a notice when some one signs the book. .... I'm off right now to see what that email looks like.....be back soon. Lianna
  15. Yep, yep. No problem. I was curious myself! Li
  16. I quickly installed Advanced Guestbook onto my test site so that you could see it. (Y'all are welcome to leave a quick entry if you like so that we can see what it looks like as it gets populated.) I did not change ANY settings from the default. So what you see is what you will get if you do the cPanel install of Advanced Guestbook. I'll probably take the book off the test site in a week or two. Lianna oops. The link.
  17. Hm. I can check this out later this afternoon if nobody else gets to it, ok? Lianna
  18. Great use of the Lake Applet! Lianna
  19. Invision Board is another bulletin board/forum/discussion system......actually, it's the one you're on right now! Currently cPanel has an easy to install phpBB brand board. With this new addition, you'll have two different brands of boards that you can choose from for install to your site. Lianna
  20. Hmm. I don't know of a way that can be handled through cPanel and its functions. Sorry. cPanel does make a Forwarder available, but it will only handle incoming mail and can be configured for EACH email address to duplicate the mail. Lots of painstaking work there if you have very many email addresses. Lianna
  21. CheckDNS shows the TCH servers as being authoritative for your domain. I have seen instances (not that uncommon) for a domain to appear to resolve correctly and then quickly 'go-back' to old. Normally, I think, this is due to the ISP's DNS database. Usually an ISP has two and while one may have updated, the other may not have, yet. Just hang tight. If you still have a problem later today, you may wish to contact your ISP about it. Lianna
  22. Good Work!
  23. Yup, you rock!
  24. $prefix = "nuke"; Is that line referring to the TABLE prefix? If so then the table prefix would be "orbitaldb_" wouldn't it? Lianna
  25. Ah, but see? We can't let you get off that light, now can we? Care to share for the next 'blusher'? Lianna
