Just drop in a helpdesk ticket to make the request. Not a problem, but you will need to include with the request: What was the original domain name that was hosted? What is the new domain name to be hosted? What's your existing cPanel Username and Password? It would be really helpful if you could also provide your IP address that was sent in your Welcome email (or at least the name servers you were given). Thanks! (Welcome back home!) Lianna

I was able to successfully use grant in the SQL window of phpMyAdmin. I was installing a script that I needed SSH for...which I don't have,nor do I want. I just copied the grant line from the script and pasted it, run, ok. All's well. Just for reference, here is the line that I used: Replace all blue with the prepended db, prepended username, and password. You may want to try to get the grant to work successfully as all privileges just to see if it's the priv's identified (insert, select). Lianna

If you would like to email me the username/pass to use, the URL, your cpanel username and pass so that I can see how you have it setup, then I would be happy to look into it. Yes, upload the .tar.gz to the user root (above /public_html). Then open cPanel's File Manager and click one time on the .tar.gz file NAME. On the right will appear a list of options. One is Extract File Contents. Click that link and away you go. Lianna

GOTCHA! Well of course that makes perfect sense...and quite kindly of you too I might add. Forgive my jump to the conclusion. Can you see based on your previous posts how I could have arrived there? So, onward to your issue....I'm not the one to tell you about php and how it behaves or what you can do with it. The frames solution (or a container page) is what I've used in the past to accomplish basically the same thing (but not with php). Lianna

What's the URL so that I can take a look? Was the backup sitting outside the public_html folder when you performed the restore (ie in your user root)? Was the backup made through cPanel? cPanel will backup a MySQL db using the cpanel Backup function, specify the db to backup and it will. Don't know specifically if that's really the same as a mysqldump, but it works dandy. Don't ya just love it when people answer your questions with questions? Lianna

Section31, First, let me make sure that we're clear that hosting multiple domains with one TCH account is in violation of TOS/AUP unless you have a reseller account. I remind you of that because setting up a domain name to point to a subdirectory of your site would indeed be hosting multiple domains. This is about the only purpose of URL masking that is coming to my mind, but yours could be a legit intention. Can you please elaborate? Second, the functionality that you are looking for usually is offered by the registar of the domain name, sometimes free, sometimes not. Other 3rd parties may offer it. The way it would work is that the 3rd party or registrar would be listed as that domain's primary and secondary name servers. Then you specify the redirect path with them. Some offer this service as simple domain forwarding (where the url reverts to the *real* url of the page) and some also offer it in a *masked* mode. Lianna

Once you get your welcome email from us, please initiate a helpdesk ticket to request SSH access to your account and explain why it's necessary. We do not, by default, enable SSH on any of our accounts for security purposes. Now, that request could take a bit of time to implement, not because flipping the switch takes long, but we do our best to see *who* you are and determine if granting SSH is a good idea. Correct. You can point as many domain names to your primary domain as you wish. But by pointing a domain name to a sub, you are in effect hosting multiple domains on a single account which we cannot allow. Made perfect sense to me! Now go to bed! Lianna
