CuteFTP is my personal Fav. I don't leave home without it. For whatever reason, maybe just a mind block on my part, but I have downloaded, installed and attempted to use Smart FTP 3 times now and every time has ended in frustration and confusion....... just resistent to change I guess.

The most secure option for you is to create an FTP user through cPanel. That will create the directory, username and password with all the correct permissions. Lianna

This can be handled through the registrar of the second domain name. Typically, they offer a forwarding service and you can set up MX records for domains, but check with the registrar first. Lianna

WHM for future reference is Web Hosting Manager. An interface by which client accounts are managed (among other things).

Whatever you would like it to be provided that the domain name is purchased/owned by you. If you indeed do not want to use the one that you already have hosted here then you would signup for a reseller account using another domain name. You are aware that there are two different shopping carts apps that are made available to you for FREE through the control panel (cPanel) here? Agora and Interchange. If you didn't know, you may want to consider those as cost effective alternatives. If you did know, I'll try to come up with the answer to the three modules above... Lianna
