  1. On September 2, 2003 at 5:30 p.m., Ryleigh Anne joined my family. She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches in long. I just wanted to share my family's new joy with my "online family". Pictures are on my website if anyone would like to see them.
  2. Well, once again I am amazed and astounded with the level of communication and service provided by TCH. I'm so glad that I found TCH and this is the first time in a long time I haven't worried about my website. Thanks for keeping us posted on the situation Guru, you da man! It is in fact true, TCH Rocks. Rock Sign
  3. Hey... security certs... I could add that to my list. Actually.. my brain is kind of melted right now but after a week of recovery I go to prepare for the Net+. I'm excited and then again not all at the same time.
  4. Well.. in my never ending quest to better myself, certification wise not my karma, I have just successfully passed 70-210 and 70-215... which makes me MCP. 3 more and MCSA is mine.. then 4 more for MCSE! Add that to my CS degree, CCNA/CCAI and what do you have? A public school network admin not making near what he should.. and before you say it.. I'm a 12 month employee so, no I don't get my summers off. Oh well.. I'll continue to test.. if nothing else it will make for an obnoxious signature.. Shawn, MCSE/MCSA/MCP, CCNA/CCAI, A+, Net+, Server+ What nerd wouldn't want that set of letters after his/her name. I had to share the certs with people who understand what I am attempting.. I tell my wife and she blinks and says.. "That's nice.. when can I quit my job." Oh well.. off to prepare for my new hobby. Geocaching! Peace, love and biscuits
  5. I have even gone back to the registrar and "changed" the name servers again. Sometimes, especially when I used dotster, it didn't "take" the first time. Just a thought.
  6. My daughter had her Easter pictures made today and being the proud father that I am I would like to invite you all to take a look at them. These are proofs so yes, I know the word proof is written in the middle of each picture. Stop by and take a look! http://www.odonnells.org/gallery/easter03 You have to invite your family to have a look don't you. Have a day!
  7. 1. Not unless you want to. Registrars and hosts can be two different companies. 2. Nope.. it might if you transferred your domain to TCH to be managed but as I said.. see #1. 3. That just shows who the registrar of the domain is. It would change if you moved to TCH but it won't if you leave your domain with them. PowWeb can be involved only as a registrar or if you transfer your domain registration to TCH you can eliminate them completely. The choice is yours. For all my domains, I had them registered at Dotster and they are now all hosted with TCH. I pay Dotster for the name and TCH for the hosting. Me personally, I'd transfer the registration to an independent 3rd party or move it to TCH. Just so they (PowWeb) couldn't "mess with you" on it. Not that they would.. but... Hope this all makes sense and remember your mileage may vary. Shawn
  8. Good here as well. XP/ IE 6 also tried Opera, Mozilla and Netscape just for giggles.
  9. My brother and I share a reseller account and he would like to access these forums to read them as well. However, when he tries to view the forums he receives the following message: Could it be possible that his ISP has been banned from the forums? His current ISP is Cox Cable in Fayetteville, AR. IPs are of the form 208.180.110.xxx. Any ideas? Thanks
  10. I didn't really mean for support. Just a place for the group to chat with other people hosted by TCH. I'm perfectly happy with the support channels the way they are right now, it's almost like having live chat with the speed in which questions are answered.
  11. I have had an account for a little over a month now and I must say I am amazed daily by the level of service and support offered by TotalChoice. I have found myself coming to these forums as a matter of seeing "what's going on" as much as I have for support updates and information. The participation by the head man is amazing and I, along with the rest of the customers, are lucky to be at such a wonderful place. The sense of community is unheard of and I'm not sure I have ever seen a single complaint. Questions are ask, they are answered. What that in mind.. how's about a "live chat" area at TotalChoice. Maybe an IRC channel where we can just hang out or ask questions of the group at large. Just an idea. Oh yeah.. and for the record: TCH Rocks
  12. I have made the run of webhosts. I always came up disappointed. I can say without a doubt, that Totalchoice Hosting is the best I've ever used. Calling these forums the family forums was a good choice because I feel like that is where I am, with family. Excellent prices, service, and support. It is rare in this day and time to find a company that actually cares about it's customers. You guys are right "Choice does matter" and I'm glad I chose to be here. In the words of Turkey Creek Jack Johnson in Tombstone, "I ain't got the words". Thanks for everything. Shawn http://www.odonnells.org http://www.neargeeks.net
  13. You know.. the big muscular guys that are in the WWE. resselers.
