Let me take a shot at all these: TCH limits the number of outgoing mail in a certain amount of time, 50 outgoing e-mails every 300 seconds (5 minutes). So, no, large mailing lists will not get you accused of spamming, but you will need to monitor the delivery of those messages to meet the outgoing constraints. Some use Dada Mail (http://mojo.skazat.com/) instead. You do not have to use the preinstalls. You may install scripts of your own accord, provided they, themselves are not in violation of TOS or AUP. You will not have access to shell function, so that may limit your ability to install some scripts. Not a problem, no limits. All traffic is measured against your bandwidth here. Yes, IMAP is supported. Absolutely, you can do that from within cPanel. Yup, daily. No Problem! Good luck with your search.

not necessary to setup redirection....that maybe causing the problem. If you simply create the sub, the directory will automatically be created and the URL will mask properly. Going to test that again and be absolutely positively positive....brb update: Waiting on propagation....

There is no risk in posting your username and password in the helpdesk. There are administrative accesses, but to make the support job as easy as possible, we ask that you provide your username and password so that we can access your account. Different that the bank....we can't access your MONEY.

do the dump through secureserver.net as we have no control over your registered domains.

hey Bruce. Drop in a help desk ticket about this ok? Thanks.

This point was raised just before Christmas, too and it will be looked into. Thanks for the heads-up.

Welcome home, cdi-buy!

ok, that's just awful! But didn't I hear that guy say at the beginning, "you go first or shall I?" I went first of course, being that kind of selfish competitor. ..hhmmmm

cdi-buy, While I cannot go into all the details of managing the servers, I can say that simply selling available space and bandwidth are not the only considerations taken to "effectively manage" them. You are correct that it does not matter what address is typed into the address bar, but there are ramifications far more reaching than just the space sold and used. Cock & bull don't fly here. HG would kill me if I were to lie or just make up some stuff to say. (I don't plan on letting that 'kill' thing happen.) I like this place. I like this family and this business is very important to me. I am a client, too so protecting this business is in my best interest. Like nikko said, you can try it out for yourself. Good luck in your search. Edit: OH! Happy New Year East Coast, USA! I have 45 minutes to wait. Cheers all and welcome 2004!

Remember that your tables may have a predefined prefix depending on how the tables were created.

Support for DNS Spam Filtering in SquirrelMail?
Lianna replied to congdon's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Whoa! I didn't realize those two options took you to different places. Gads, learn somethin new everyday. Can you tell me which list you are wanting to use? Also, atop my SPAM options screen, it says, "WARNING! Tell your admin to set the SpamFilters_YourHop variable" ...hmmmm. -
Sorry you disagree. I do understand the points that you make, but unfortunately, they don't change the policy. One domain per account unless you have a reseller account. Wish I could give you a more satisfying answer, but I'm not sure that can be done.

No worry Shannon! We all have those slight lapses at times! Happy New Year

Regarding jmazz's situation, we apologize for the delay. Hope to see you return soon!

Two fold: 1. TCH allows the hosting of unlimited subdomains. If we were to allow the forwarding of domains to subdomains, then TCH would be very quickly out of business at $4.00 per month per 'account'. This is something that we just can't do (and doubt that any of you would either if running this business. So, leiavoia, while we certainly aren't trying to squeeze anyone, we do have a business to run. 2. In the constant effort to monitor and effectively manage server loads and traffic, TCH has made the decision that single accounts will reflect single or parked domains only. This allows us to more appropriately distribute the accounts across our servers and not overload them or oversell them, leaving some room for growth and upgrade on each server. So, yes, there is a technical reason behind the decision. Bottom line, to host multiple domains, you must have multiple accounts or a reseller account that will accomodate.

I think that Scott will disagree with the suggestion to resubmit. The way I hear it that can cause many more issues than it could solve. I'll defer to Scott for the specific recommendations regarding Google though.

Thanks for letting us know. It is a known issue that we've been working on.

When you purchase a domain through TCH, you have the option during purchase to note that TCH is also hosting the site. In that circumstance, the DNS servers are automatically set to the appropriate ones.

Augie, Welcome! What seems to be the problem in particular?

Not sure when people peek in this forum so...

If this attempt doesn't go, please PM me and we can talk. I just want to make sure that the registry info I'm seeing is what I think I'm seeing. Let's get this name back in control.

Support for DNS Spam Filtering in SquirrelMail?
Lianna replied to congdon's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Is this by using the SquirrelMail that is preinstalled by TCH or have you installed SquirrelMail yourself? The reason I ask is that from the TCH install, I cannot find a reference to DNS spam filtering. Can you get me some more specifics as to how you "turn it on" in SquirrelMail?
