  1. Check with your registrar. Most offer a private listing...but it usually isn't free. By the sounds of it, a menial charge wouldn't bother you one bit for the protection it would provide. Private Registration is available at TotalChoice Web Hosting!
  2. Thomas, Buy the domain name with her listed as Registrant and Administrative contact and YOU listed as the billing contact. I've done this many times for clients. Then as soon as the domain goes live, I go back in and change the billing contact to the owner (otherwise I get the renewal notices each year).
  3. Welcome Home, Scott! I kept thinking and thinking and thinking to figure out why I thought that sounded like not such a good idea...but I'm not the SEO wiz! What advice do you have for frames sites? Example. If Google results send you to a page that is actually a body frame page...all the links to the rest of the site are not shown. Obviously, the best recourse is: Don't use frames! But do you have any words of wisdom here? Thanks.

  5. In plain words, no, you do not have access to this capability on our servers unless you have a dedicated server and SSH access. Sorry.
  6. And the verdict is?...exactly as expected, eye roll and all! I don't know why he didn't think that was funny. My 5 year old loved it and has never even heard of Mad Cow disease!

    Removal

NO! Sorry you misunderstood...I removed the clickable link TO their site from your post above...... I have zero control over their site, but would rather not give them a link from our forums.

What happens if you enable HotLink protection from cpanel?
  9. Oh, Alan. I think that's a VERY good joke! Can't wait to get the rolled-eyes-shaking-head-in-disappointment look from my husband, but I like it!
  10. A quick Google search landed me several modifiable options. My search was for Most of what I found was geared toward redirecting if hit from a specific referrer. Seems that the modification of one of those to make it so that the evaluation is based on if the referrer is NOT (from within my domain) then direct to index.html ...but I haven't tried or done it. Basically what I am proposing is that any direct hit to a page within your site would automatically redirect the visitor to the home page....that would also redirect anyone that had a single page of your site bookmarked. There are some pitfalls.
  11. Welcome Home, av8ndad!
  12. Congratulations, Darqflare!
  13. Unless you updated your firmware, you probably would not have experienced the ads.
  14. Appears there is a newer release. You can visit mojo.skazat.com for more info. I'm a bit confused by your question though. Not sure I understand the whole concept. What would be the content of that file, the email content? Where would that file be created, on your hosting space or pc? What is the goal of having the file created?
  15. https://ssl.totalchoicehosting.com/supportdesk/ Sorry, I could have included the link!
  16. Nikosaki, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Will you please submit a helpdesk ticket regarding this issue? Our Technical Support Services team will get on it right away!
  17. bandheighth, Not sure I understand what you're after. Do 10 point to a single site and the other 10 a single other site? Or, do you have 20 unique sites? Or some combination thereof? Sounds like you would best be served by one of our reseller plans. You could then host all 20 and have a Web Host Manager console to manage all of them and a cPanel to manage each account therein. But I'm confused as to why you need two IP's?
  18. Welcome Home, RuMxZ!
  19. Nikki, Don't worry about the Auto_Increment piece, not a big deal and you're probably using a different version of phpMyAdmin. Naming the db is no issue. When you import the tables and data, you will have already created a db here. The file's name is irrelevant, but since you have several db's on the old host, it would make it easier to tell the resulting files apart. This is only a default for the file name.
  20. Welcome Home, torvan!
  21. Export/Import a database's tables (structure and data) using phpMyAdmin Open phpMyAdmin On the left, select the db to export Click Export tab link In the Export box, click Select All (to select all tables) Ensure that SQL radio button is selected Using the default settings for Structure and Data should serve you well Checked Structure Not Add 'drop table' Checked Add AUTO_INCREMENT value Checked Enclose table and Field names with backquotes Checked Data Not Complete and Extended inserts Check Save as file File name template: __DB__ (This will name the file the same as the DB name) Compression: None. Click GO Select Save when prompted Select location and save. Then, when you get setup here - Using Manage MySQL: Create the Database Create the user Create the association between user and DB Open phpMyAdmin and select this new db Click the SQL tab link Click Browse Find the .sql file that you previously saved Clicked GO Tra-la. Should import each table, structure and data.
  22. Just chatted with Nikki. phpMyAdmin is available in Nikki's version of Plesk, so I will put together the steps for creating a dump and post back. For anyone that may have tips and tricks, Nikki is using MT and would like to make that transition as easy as possible. Thanks in Advance!
