  1. Welcome to the forums John. You may be able to get the techs to do this for you. Open a help desk ticket (link above) to support and explain what you want to do.
  2. Welcome to the forums, RichT
  3. flow
  4. Not sure about the first part but to keep your IP blocked after editing the .conf file change the permissions of the file to 444 so it will not be overwritten.
  5. dirty
  6. Well since you are writing software and it's an executable I will assume that it is for Windows. That said, Win2000/XP support ZIP files natively without the need to download and install another program. And if they are beta testers you are sending to, I am sure they are smart enough to know how to unzip it to install.
  7. You may be able to send them but can the person you are sending them to receive them? More and more services are blocking EXE files from being sent/received. I don't see this as a problem. I quit sending executables long ago. Easier to zip it and forget it.
  8. Thanks Robert!
  9. Welcome to the forums, wallysparks I'm sure Thomas will be along to answer your question.
  10. Can't argue with that, but we all know what "assume" means.
  11. Thanks Jaoquin and Jim
  12. I'm not sticking up for cpanel but I am sure they are only allowed to use what ever the vendor allows them to license. Since IPB is no longer free, maybe IPB won't allow cpanel to offer 1.3.1 final with their distribution. That said, it is the user's responsibility to be sure scripts are maintained and all security patches applied.
  13. You might want to open a Help Desk ticket and ask one of the tech people. ImageMagick is installed.
  14. What kind of an error are you receiving? You are entering yourid@your-TCH-domain.ext for the user name, right?
  15. Thank you erisande
  16. Programming and playing golf. I know I have more hobbies but I forget what they are.
  17. Thank you, Gail
  18. Thanks, Montty
  19. You can reach Live Support here. The techs do not monitor the forums 24/7, please use the link above to contact one of them. Thanks.
  20. Depending on when the hosting plan was purchased will result in how the user name is/was created. When PerlBill is used (currently it is) the user names are not randomly generated. When ModernBill was used it would create a random name for the account. So some of the customers have user accounts resembling their domain names and others have something completely random. Usernames can be reset without deleting and recreating the accounts - but sometimes results in a mess with scripts - so this is the reason TCH discourages it.
  21. Yes you will have to upgrade manually. TCH does not control when cPanel will add the latest patch.
