Looking in my error log history in CPanel, I see 2 crack files that different IP addresses are trying to excecute. The files are not there, because the attachment script disallows .phtml files... What I'm trying to find is if anyone knows of a way to automatically ban these IP addresses which are tying to execute the file w/o me having to check the log nightly? I've looked through my server and the fles do not exist anyware on the server so I'm not worried about them being executed...I just want to keep these hack attempts down.

I am trying to figure out of there is a way to show new mail messages in a box on our website (ie kind of like google does on their customized page; or hotmail does on theirs). Some of my members have email accounts with our domain name. 1 member in particular cannot for the life of him understand how to click mail in Horde and then see his emails. I thought it would be cool if I could just display a logon box for these people and once they login it will show the new mail messages. Let me know if anyone knows how to do this with the current setup here at TCH. Thanks,

OK, I think you need to upgrade from version to version without skipping. (ie 2.0.11 to 2.0.12 to 2.0.13 to 2.0.14 to 2.0.15 to 2.0.16) Something might be missing in the jump from 2.0.11 to 2.0.16. Give that a try and see if you still have problems.

That line is correct. If you commented any lines out be sure you used the /* */ around the code. I learned the hard way that // doesn't work. Maybe someone else will be able to assist you.

Can you post your code for the viewtopic.php line 1111 and the line before and after it?

Not sure if you figured this out yet, but you need to create a folder (install) in the root directory of your phpbb forums and then upload the update_to_latest.php and run from your site http://www.yoursite.com/install/update_to_latest.php. Once this script is successfully run be sure to delete the file. Hope this helps.

I added this to my .htaccess file today, because our site has used over 1 gig of bandwidth in 3 days. I don't really see any reason for it. So i am trying this code to display a small image in place of any hotlink images. And to put a 403 error for anyone trying to hotlink to any vids. I test it a little, and got this much. Maybe it can help you some. It works, but it changes the domain name. I've used something like this before for redirecting to a subfolder. I changed the code a little. I doubled the max_execution_time to 600 through .htaccess and it the uploads are going through now. I don't know if the two are related or not...but I'm happy it's working now.
