  2. You are looking at the same script in both. The first one uses FTP to send the back up to another location. The second one you add the code for the $savedir and modify the $dest to include where to save it. The permissions should be 755 and you place the folder at the same root level as your public_html folder. The -q flag is the "quiet" switch which will not produce any output other than what the script is supposed to do or errors. You can use either. Anything above your public_html folder is not accessible directly by the web server. The path would be /home/your-cpanel-id/folder-you-specify/backup.php While logged into your cpanel look at the address bar, it should have the skin name in the address. >https://www.your-domain.ext:2083/frontend/bluelagoon/index.html If you are not a reseller the only way is with a support ticket.
  3. TCH does not use any proxy servers. You should be using passive mode for FTP as well. I you are experiencing poor performance using FTP I would open a ticket with the help desk. I would also run a trace to your site from your computer to be sure it is not a routing issue from your location to the server.

  10. ImageMagick should be installed on all servers. If /usr/local/bin does not work try /usr/bin
  11. Thanks for the kind words GTMan. to Andy!
  12. What RESTORE key? My cPanel has buttons labeled UPLOAD but nothing labeled RESTORE. If you didn't browse for a file to restore it did absolutely nothing in the way of altering your site.
  13. The email will be sent to what ever you have defined as the default address in cpanel. This email address should not be an address associated with your domain. Use your ISP email account or GMail or MSN or anything else but your domain account.
  14. Oh yeah, where are my manners? Welcome to the forums!
  15. I do not believe it's possible to do with Dada Mail. What you are looking for is a personalized mailing list software program. If you Google for personalized mailing list you will find many results. Or you can check out Hotscripts.com.
  16. I would use an FTP client to upload the file(s). SmartFTP, CuteFTP, FileZilla...
  17. Good advice Kelly, thanks.
  18. Welcome to the forums Tom. Sorry your solution will not work in this case as these are Linux servers. Thanks for the tip on a Windows server though.

  21. Thanks Rob! I upgraded mine as soon as it was released so I'm safe.
  22. Honestly, I don't know if you upgrade manually if cPanel will recognize it. But I do know that cPanel will probably never be current with patches unless phpBB stops releasing updates.
  23. Welcome to the forums Mick Kris thanks for the help in the forums.
  24. What kind of errors?
  25. There is no one server better than another. TCH servers are all top notch servers. cPanel controls the release of updates. TCH tests updates from cPanel before updating all the servers. If there happened to be a problem with a cPanel update it would be a lot easier to fix the couple of servers that were updated than have to upgrade/fix all the servers TCH owns. Bottom line, it's your responsibility to keep your software updated. If that means you have to install updates manually that's what you will need to do. Personally I don't like the one-click installs. If something goes wrong how do you fix it? If you are installing it yourself at least you know what you did.
