Are you running the wp-mail.php file? Once you get it working manually you set up a cron job to run the wp-mail.php file. Just adding the email address/password to the admin area of your blog will not poll the email account for messages to post. You have to load the wp-mail.php file which processes the email account and posts the entries.

Did you activate the feature from within Wordpress? I've tried it before and it does work.

Welcome to the forums Rick If the php file to be run is in the public_html folder then yes you would include the public_html folder in the command string. However, the post said to put the php file in the root folder to use that command string. The "root folder" is "/home/youraccount". So the correct syntax for the cron job would be: >/home/youraccount/path-to-the-file-you-want-to-run > /dev/null

If your site is responsible for causing a DoS or DDoS attack on the server you will be terminated. From the Acceptable Use Policy

If you are new to MT you may want to look at Wordpress too. It's a one-click install from the Fantastico library in your cPanel. Most of us that helped with the MT instructions have migrated to Wordpress.

That is odd, I had a situation where I could not access the secure port but never had a problem with the non-secure port. Have you tried just using youdomain.ext/cpanel? Have you tried going through a proxy server?

That should work on a dedicated server with no problems.

I would have to agree with Paul. I am on three very active forums and don't think I could handle another!

To "stream" any content you will require a dedicated server. You can only send video/audio on a shared account using the "http" and "flash" methods. TCH does not have any streaming software so you would have to find it elsewhere and install it to your dedicated server.

Using A Webpage To Access Files Stored On Storage Server
TCH-Bruce replied to kaseytraeger's topic in HTML and CSS
Here are a couple of extensions you can try. ViewSourceWith - open PDF links with Acrobat Reader or Foxit Reader or what you prefer PDF Download - Allows to choose if you want to view a PDF file inside the browser (as PDF or HTML), if you want to view it outside Firefox with your default or custom PDF reader, or if you want to download it! Maybe one of them will help. -
You will have to work with the help desk to resolve this issue. The moderators are volunteers and do not have access to the servers or your account information. Also, you are responsible for making your own backups. TCH backs up the servers but not every day. If you have a more recent backup you can restore that.
