There is now a link at the bottom of your cPanel to correct this, just scroll down and click on "reset all interface settings". This should clear any custom settings you have made.

cPanel has provided new options to prevent these types of issues, however, we have not had a chance to test them. Please open a ticket with the subject, cPanel Ports Att: Management, and we will look into the new setup today.

Those pages are not going away. I can only assume that whomever purchased the domain decided to grab a cached copy of the site and put it online. You will need to contact the host of that site and file a complaint about the stolen content.

Make sure Vista's speech/voice recognition is disabled. Check the programs running in the background and kill those you don't need. If you have installed any new antivirus/spyware detection/spell checkers then try disabling those. Install latest keyboard driver. Try a different keyboard, different brand, different connection type(usb vs ps2 vice versa). If all that fails then kick the crap out of it to relieve your frustration.

We have our own in house name servers and we offer domain registration via a partnership. This means if you want to use the Total DNS option you would have to use our partners name servers. (ns3.secureserver.net and ns4.secureserver.net will work) Using cPanel you can only change the MX records. If you have a reseller account you can the DNS zones but only for the sites you setup not your main reseller account. I recommend using an external DNS service such as dnsmadeeasy.com if you need more control of the records.

Strange, New Folders Appearing In My Account
TCH-Dick replied to kaseytraeger's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
These directories are created by the restore process and you can safely remove them. They are normally removed automatically, however, they were most likely left behind when we had to restart the restore process. -

Title Edited: Some Problem With a Forum Spammer
TCH-Dick replied to davidtuffel's topic in Hardware Corner
You have to be the worst spammer ever! Seriously, you say "I have my own company for computer hardware solution" but you or an employee can't figure out how to setup auto-crossover on a d-link router? *For the curious readers, the brilliant mind behind this post, has made the same post on a couple hundred other forums. -
You can either use the redirect options within cPanel or open a ticket to the help desk and ask them to point the subdomain record to your exchange IP.
-
Open at ticket and we can see whats triggering mod_security. I could be anything from the file name to the content be submitted.
-
Just enter "N/A" for the cPanel user/pass and provide the following in the ticket as proof of ID. 1 - Your full address (Inc. zip code) 2 - your phone number 3 - the last four digits of the credit card being used to pay for the hosting account
-
Thats all, just wanted to say HI. Maybe some of you lurkers will come out and say HI. Come on-I see you there-one post wont hurt you.
-
Just open a ticket to the desk, provide the error and request they open a custom port to secure.linkpt.net:1129.
-
No guarantee but replace your functions.php and sidebar.php with these isolated.zip

I got if for the kids at Xmas but I took it over the other day when I realized I could browse the net. It's not the same as being on my PC but works great for youtube, reading the news, forums, etc.

Ok forgive me for being lazy and not reading the thread fully. Now that I have read it all and that you stated you only have the Speakers tab, it seems I was taking you in the opposite direction as you need the digital output. With that said you can but a decent set of speakers or a new sound card, can pick up either for a fair price.
-
Sorry I missed this earlier but I just noticed that you have Realtek High Definition Audio. I don't think your speakers are the issue as I had the same problem recently. If this is the case, it is very simple to fix. There should be a second speaker icon by your clock labeled "Realtek HD Audio Manager", click on this icon. When the window opens, you will see two tabs (Digital Output, Speakers), select the Speakers tab, locate and click the Set Default Device button. Click OK and test your sound. If you do not have this icon, got to your Control Panel then Hardware and Sound then Manage Audio Devices. Under the Playback tab, locate the device labeled Speakers, it should have a green check mark on it. If it does not have the green check mark, then right click the device icon and select Set as Default Device. Then right click the icon again and select test. Hopefully this will fix your issue.
