Im lost... On that page it is not supposed to be any javascripts or anything called "teknisk info". Oh, I went to the page you mentioned and saw everything perfectly so I clicked on the Agneta link and got the error I mentioned. Sorry for the confusion!

Welcome BG! Thumbs Up Not that anything's different - you've been helping since you got here!

I looked for verification and could only find this story in 2 places. I did see the Euro is talking about rfid's. I also would think an rfid would be detectable when held up to the light. Finally, my more adventureous coworker nuked a new $20 for 10 seconds and not even a pop. I'd suspect hoax but you never know.

I'm using firefox and got hte page ok in just 2-3 seconds. There is an error message under the Teknisk Info section that says: An error occured whilst processing this directive Template file does not exist Everything else seems fine here.

Based on the different looks he has shown us, his total divergence from the normal (crappy) way businesses run and his lack of sleep, I can only come to one conclusion... Bill is a shapeshifting alien!
-
I wish I was that age ... if I could keep what I know with me that is.

Woo Hoo!!!! Exciting times at TCH! Bill, you rock! Rock Sign

Are you sure nothing's happened? Muh huh ha ha haaaa!

Uh, I hope not! I think I'm the closest to Miami and those CSI guys always catch the crooks! Head Guru, got any bail money?

That's awesome news for any couple, Bill. Congrats guys - your life has just changed but it's for the better! Now, how long before we get to see those pictures!?!

Sounds like secret Al Quaeda code to me. Have we been invaded?

No bonuses for paid staff but the beatings may be lessened for an hour or so.

That's awesome Eric! Congrats! The only thing better would be a Honda Prius! (You have to listen to Sean Hannity to get it. Sorry.)

My next-cubicle neighbor at work went for coffee at a small coffee shop right on the docks where the cruise ships dock. He bought the overpriced $3.00 cafe con leche and all he had was a $20. He had to listen to a full 3 minute tirade from the lady about making change. Then when she calmed down a bit she said something else and he asked her to repeat it and she said "Nevermind, it's not worth arguing with you about it." Last time I looked there were 2 facts - 1. it takes 2 to argue and my friend said nothing other than "A 20 is all I have." and 2. money is money and a business that fusses about getting it is destined to not be a business much longer.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. The link is indeed kerflooey and I'll fix that when I get a chance (i.e. when I'm not at work. ) We have a great place to visit but it's a bit expensive to live here. Visit any time you folks want! The welcome mat is always out!

I just kicked myself so don't bother. As long as I've been here I found 2 of my sites that are not listed so please add them when you get the chance. If you have a few extra mins a rank eval would be cool but I know you're very busy now, Scott, so don't feel bad if you can't do it any time soon. Afterall, I waited this long to request it. 1. Oh yeah, I forgot. Has anyone noticed that the subtitle of this thread changed from "Is TCH going out of business" (or similar) to "There is a mediation going on" ?
-
Something I love about this guy is that he is so "high and mighty" but the first thing he did was to use TCH's logo, the TCH Rock's sign and TCH-Dick's avatar in and as his own signature on the posts. Gee, that's mighty honest of ya Stranger.

See, it's not just me. Those top sites seem like bad choices when I look at them... but then again, I didn't get asked to write Google's algo. Jack, Thanks so much for the time you have taken to look at my site. I obviously have been looking at it too much to see everything and you have some very good observations. I appreciate the effort and will get it cleaned up as soon as possible. I have actually already been playing with the CSS-P layout for the site. I don't think it will be that difficult to do considering the page info and it seems to be best for SEO since you can put meat before layout details. The browsers seem better able to handle it now than when I looked the first time at doing that too. Again, thanks for all the comments folks! I love my family!

Hey gang. I've been watching one of my client sites since the so called "Florida" update to Google and wanted some opinions if anyone has them to offer. I have a site - http://www.grandslamkw.com - which used to be about 37 on Google for the term "Key West Fishing". Now it is over 400! I have watched it since the big upsetting change in the algorithms and it has slowly crept from 500+ to 427 or 208 depending on if you use quotes in your search or not. I have added more relevant content, cleaned it up, gotten the Google Page Rank from 4/10 to 5/10 and even cleaned up some of the Alt tags that could have been considered spamming just in case. My problem is that using Google, no one will ever see my client's site and go fishing. No fishing - no money. No money - no web designer (that's me!) If anyone has something to try then I'm all ears. I've been watching it creep around but not do anything significant and 200+ is still way too far down. By the way, another thing I noticed just for fun. In the Google Directory section it is still showing this site as what looks like a PR of 3/10 with a very old page title. Another fun thing I noticed is that another site of mine ranks 0/10 with **** and 4/10 with www.**** Not sure if that helps anyone but I thought it interesting nonetheless. Thanks gang!

One more thing to consider when you return to this thread, StrangerStranger. How many hosting companies out there have, as Mike says, several thousand customers and yet the owner of the company (Bill who is named Head Guru in the forums) will chat with you about the service? How many hosting companies even submit themselves to third party mediation? I'd think that about 90% of them would just say "It's our company, too bad, you lose, go away." TCH and Bill, however, do everything above board and in public. If you see a hosting company with zero complaints then they are hiding something - it's a fact of life that the guy that expects the world handed to him on a silver platter will come along and something you do will upset him. It is inevitable. As you see, you have been given the details of what upset the customer and the mediation is just an exercise in futility because there is no fault on the part of TCH. Remember the lady that sued fast food restaraunts because she was fat? Best wishes on your search but don't pass up TCH too quickly. As so many others have said, of all the ones I've experienced they are the best.

Now that is totally freaky! I had not heard any hint of the Gilette controversy over Mach III blades when I wrote my example. That's kinda scary actually!

Pretty interesting stuff. My current knowledge of computer tech and my prior interest in the cypherpunks privacy group makes me knee-jerk say "Aaaiiieeee" (you can quote me on that ) My older and more calm self says "Does it really matter?" We could drive ourselves into a secluded cabin in the mountains with ammo and canned spam for the next 30 years if we think about it. For instance, how hard would it be for the grocery store, in cooperation with your bank, to take everything you buy at the store and send across their computerized barcoded scanners and tie that to your credit card getting your name, address, etc and then report to Gillette that you used to buy a pack of razors every week but now you stopped so you must have bought an electric razor and they better get on the ball if they want you back as a customer? Before you know it you are innundated with Mach III razor ads and coupons in your mailbox. I am not refuting your concern by any means! Don't take this wrong! I'm just wondering out loud if it really matters much that Ford knows user 33x324.2 just came from the Chevy site? The worst that could happen from anon tracking is in-your-face ads and popup blockers, etc help with that. If they tie your name to it then it's a bit more iffy, but I have spam blockers and popup blockers and if Ford wants to spend $0.20 to send me a brochure of their latest super truck then let 'em.
