  4. I did not see anything wrong with your post. For me the full backup has not been of any use since there is no handy place to upload it for me.
  5. If you are talking about the rotating html banner in cpanel scripts, I think you might be better off with a php script from hot scripts The one in cpanel seems limited to me.
  6. Welcome to the forums! You can purchase extra bandwidth at $2.50 per gig, maybe you might want to add a litte extra for the month the publication hits As to the forums, you can install via the ip/~username then you can setup databases and use a temp copy of the forum config and change the http://site/path to ip/~username/path to be sure it is working that way you want. And we can help more if you need it
  7. I am so happy to hear this! congrats to both of you and thank you Bill for a great decision
  8. Nat if you goto cpanel > backup and download the Home Backup that compressed file contains your entire site except databases and e-mail filters and alias which you can also download on the same backup page. Then if you need to upload a database you can do it in the same place. You could also upload the home backup to restore all files or with a compression (zip) file manager you can make a copy of the home backup and remove all but the forum to restore just the forum.
  9. Welcome to the forum Simon as to the IE image toolbar you can add this <META HTTP-EQUIV="imagetoolbar" CONTENT="no"> to the head tag to prevent it from displaying, but if you are trying to protect images, there is no practical way other than watermarking them.
  10. You are welcome!
  11. In My Controls above > edit avatar settings > did you Upload a new image from your computer and set the width and height.
  12. As of now :fail: is better for the server as it just rejects the email, rather then accepting it and deleting it.
  13. Sorry we do not use windows servers here, or plesk. All of our servers are linux, cpanel is our control panel
  14. Thanks for the followup, it may help others
  15. It may depend on where you are sending the list to, if at your own site address here at TCH, it should not take long at all if at a free e-mail it may take a while because of many others lined up to be received as well. I have not tried mailman because it seems limited I went with Dadamail and I can batch the list to send 10 e-mails per minute and not be a load on the server. And it sends to my address very fast.
  16. Which script are you using? mailman, dadmail or other? How many in the list?
  17. Near the top of the page for ordering a hosting account, it says There is a link below that I cannot tell you how the paypal part works, but you might open a help desk ticket and ask for help, giving them all the details and the steps you took to order the domain. Or you can goto Domain name support, I see they have a phone number. Hope this helps

  19. While I dissagree about the performance hit by parsing all files for SSI or php Years ago this was an issue with single processors and less ram but with todays quad 2 gig+ processors and gigabytes of ram you will be hard pressed to find a performance hit. So I am not sure its worth the trouble, but I did find this CHMOD the page files, and only the page files, that you want parsed (i.e. that will contain SSI directives) to 744 (instead of 644). This is what tells the server to parse the page.

  22. If you manage their cpanels or want to help them with their cpanel the Web Host Manager makes it easy to keep an eye on their accounts and access their cpanel. And you can create your own packages to suite their needs. Goto the help site > resellers and view the movise to see some of what can be done. It may look hard at first, but its easier than the first time you saw a cpanel
  23. Its at the bootom of the plans page, 1GB $2.50/Monthly
