  1. Sandy, there are two backups in cpanel > backup A full backup and the Home backup which you can later upload just to the right. The home backup does not have your databases or e-mail filters and alias But you can also download these just below in cpanel > backup and again upload them to the right So yes you can backup and restore your entire site any time you need to.

  9. When you use cpanels filemanger as you have discovered you click on the folder icon to go inside that folder so when you get to public_html/invisionboard/html/emoticons click on the name emoticons to see options on the right including change permissions. If you have an ftp program (highly recommened) is it is much easier to just select all the files on your computer that you wish to upload and in the other window navagate to the public_html/invisionboard/html/emoticons folder and drag the selected files on your computer and drop them into the window on your site. No permissions to change.
  10. Tim what ftp client are you using/ and have you tried another ftp program to eliminate the possibility that your normal program has become corrupted. If another ftp program does not work, then you may want to open a help desk ticket to tech support to have them check things out. Moving for forum organization
  11. This is where a password keepers like AnyPassword really shine, they allow you to generate random passwords of various lengths. I like to use as many character as allowed since I don't have to remember them. The data file is encrypted, and you only need one password to open it. It saves the user, password and a clickable link plus a note space. This way I don't have to add secure sites to my browsers favs. I also back up the program in zip form and data files to a removable memory stick.
  12. You may want to look at Simple Machine forum It is a php and mysql forum by the original creators of yabba board and the have and active forum for support.

  17. When you bought your domain name you should have received an e-mail with a link to log into and change your domain info. look for change DNS and put the TCH nameservers form your TCH welcome e-mail in there.
  18. Welcome to the Family and your new home! If you added yourself as a user, did you edit the config file to reflect the new user? I would still go through the tutorial to install it. What server are you on? We really are like family here. So if you need anything, just ask your new family! We love to help
  19. Did you get a reply to your ticket to change the domain? If so, you can goto the ticket link in the e-mail you received after you opened a help ticket, and select new ticket to ask about the account. But if your account was changed to use the new domain name, you should be able to log in www.yournewdomain.ext/cpanel using the original user name and password from your welcome e-mail. Also when you bought the new domain, did you goto the site where you bought the domain and login and change the nameservers to the ones in your welcome e-mail?
  20. Just click the help desk link at the top of this page. Select Technical Support, and after you fill out all the fields, you are prompted to read the faq, just click on submit at the bottom. They will change your account to use the new domain. Good luck in getting a nice domain name.
  21. If you mean you have the wrong domain name, there is no way to change it, but to register the correct one, unless you can live with the one you have. If its that bad, then I would just go and register the right one and let the bad one expire. But if you mean you have the right domain name but did not spelled the name correctly when signing up for hosting, that is not a problem. Just open help ticket and explain it. Tell them the current one and the new one. They will change your account to use the correct one.
  22. Yes the quality on my camera phone is worse then a web cam. I tried a to capture a document, and it was unreadable. They are a neat idea, but need lots of improvment.
  23. I see it, not bad for just being registered yesturday try control-F5 to force a complete reload.
  24. Most anything you do in cpanel may change your .htaccess file. That is why I keep my own copy on my computer along with my cpanel backups.
  25. First welcome to the forum Open a help ticket to billing, see link at the top of this page. Tell them what happened and what you want. They will help you out.
