Welcome to the Family Malchus and your new home! Many of the gallery scripts allow you to add to their headers and footer to copy the look of your site. I would look for one like that. Then you would not need frames. We really are like family here. So if you need anything, just ask your new family! We love to help

Tony, the site you linked to is using phpnuke to create their site. It can force visitors to register, then be approved by the site owner, then they can log in and visit the restricted pages. Phpnuke takes a little work to set up, but might be worth looking at. You can install it into a folder on your site from cpanel > addon scripts. Or you can put your files in a folder and protect the folder in cpanel see this demo from cpanel. Then link to the folder, so only visitors with the password can enter. You would need a mail form or e-mail link for the visitors to contact you fisrt for the password. There are many ways, and I am sure your family here will have more ideas

Lee, you need to change your nameservers to point at totalchoicehosting see this post for the same problem. Then as Thomas says set your remote folder to public_html and the default page to index.html and you should be ok But if you want to publish before your domain name propagates to all the ISP name servers, you can set the Host ftp address to the ip address from your welcome email just the ip number don't add the user name after it, leave the user name where you have it. And the click the ip address link to your site in your welcome e-mail and you will see your site.

Glad you have it working Lee, Mikes instructions are great

Glad you are all set. Don't be a stranger Steve if you need anything, your new family is here.

Hi You might also create an index.html page in an unprotected folder and try it to verify that the probem is the with the protected folder. And if the poll can see the needed files. This will tell you if the files need to be in the same folder or below it.
-
Steve, log into your domain account and Select Manage Domains from the Domain Names dropdown menu or the Manage Your Account list. From your domain list, select the domain names you wish to modify and use the links available. and there change the DNS to NS1.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM NS2.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM And Welcome to the Family and your new home! If you look at TCH-Mike's post on upgrading you will see very clear instructions and a download for the new version. Be sure to follow his advice on the back up of your database. It works, I had to take this route as I did not use cpanel to install the first time.

I agree the dummies books have come a long way, I have one for linux, and it is outstanding. Welcome to our forum Karen

You can goto your cpanel > backup and click on Download a home directory Backup and while you are there download the databases and e-mail filters and alias with that you can recreate your site by uploading there later, just in case.
