Ok I see I did not read close enough, there are two places for the path. first the home path then the url does this work (with your own cpanel name) in the first path. >#----------------------------------------------------------------------- # PATH SETTINGS #----------------------------------------------------------------------- # Jamroom will try to auto-detect the path that it's scripts are running # in, but on some servers this may not work 100% of the time. Leave # this at the default unless Jamroom tells you to change it. Default is # "detect" - any other value and Jamroom will attempt to use it as the # ABSOLUTE path to the jamroom scripts. Note that this must be the # absolute path - i.e. /full/path/to/jamroom (note no trailing slash) $config['jamroom_path'] = '/home/YOUR_CPANEL_NAME/public_html/observatory'; # if the $config['jamroom_path'] setting has been set to something OTHER # then detect you must enter the URL for Jamroom here as well so Jamroom # knows how to resolve relative URLS within its scripts. Leave this at # the default "detect" unless you have modifed the value above this one. # if you do need to put an entry in, put it in like so: # http://path/to/jamroom - note there is no trailing slash "/". $config['jamroom_url'] = 'http://www.indiemanagers.com/observatory'; and did you try it first with the detect left in?

instead of ># http://path/to/jamroom - note there is no trailing slash "/". $config['jamroom_url'] = 'http://www.indiemanagers.com/observatory'; did you try ># http://path/to/jamroom - note there is no trailing slash "/". $config['jamroom_url'] = '/home/cpanelname/public_html/observatory';

I use Norton and do not have that problem. if a virus comes in I just see a note from norton in the place where the e-mail would be about the virus detected and deleted (thats the way I set up my options)

Yes the full backup has everything including databases and the rest. But after you upload it to your site, you will need to open a ticket to have the staff restore it. With the home backup there is place to upload it and the site is restored except as noted, your databases and e-mail alias (forwards) and e-mail filters. So you will also have to download the databases and e-mail alias and filters which you can also upload in their corresponding places. It is nice to be able to make a database backup before making changes to a forum or script and know that I can restore the database quickly. I generally download the home backup weekly unless I am making some radical changes. The files have the date as part of the file name, so you can keep several copies. databases I download every few days if there are additions to them. I do have all the files I create on my computer and copies of the folders for forums and guestbooks as well. I also copy my backups to CD monthly. I guess you could say I am paranoid
