Dave this sounds similar to a tell-a-friend script I do not like them because anyone can send a message to someone else through my site. This was fine years ago, but in this day and age of spammers, it is abused. You defiantly need to take precautions, like maybe have the e-mail goto you and then you can forward the e-mail after review.

Hi Dianna, I don't think the autoresponder in cpanel will do all that. I sound like you need some kind of list manager. Most list managers will allow sign ups and let you e-mail the list subscribers but not the way you want. have you looked at hot scripts? if you find one there and need help with the install, someone here may be able to help.

welcome to the forums Kaz! if your current host uses cpanel, you may be able to have the techs transfer your site for you, the cpanel trasfer works most of the time and will save you a lot of time.

John, have you looked the other posts in this part of our forum (blogs)? most are the same type of question, about install problems and one of them may give you some ideas.

Yes, but using a web browser to upload pages and files is doing it the hard way and does not always work in some browsers. Generally it is only used in emergency's when you can't use ftp or get access to your cpanel. In cpanels file manager you can only upload 12 files at once and you have to browse to each. Not as convenient as ftp. As you use ftp you already know how much easier it is. Perhaps if you help your friend with a free ftp program like Core FTP Lite it will make it simpler to update. if you have any questions, please ask. We are like family here and love to help
