Thomas.... I actually gave the answer to that in my earlier post to Ninepatch. The extra pages only occur when you use FRAMES. But there is a second component: CSB publishes only the pages you need. If you are not using the Map or a bottom border, you will not get a page for them! Examples: If you only use right borders in your design (lets say a photo gallery) then you would have these pages: gallery.htm, gallery_r.htm If you only use right borders in your design (lets say a photo gallery) AND publish your MAP also, then you would have these pages: gallery.htm, gallery_r.htm, gallery_mf.htm If you only use top and left borders in your home page design then you would have these pages: index.htm, index_l.htm, index_t.htm If you only use top and left borders in your home page design AND publish your MAP also, then you would have these pages: index.htm, index_l.htm, index_t.htm, index_mf.htm Maybe I should add that to the web page for clarification. As to the map page not being shown on my instruction page, that's because the image that I took from the CSB program concerning borders does not show a map frame. It is actually a separate issue, and is the ONLY one of the "extra pages" that you can link directly to. Example: One of my subdirectories is published with my MAP turned ON so I could write a tutorial how to HIDE your site map from view. http://www.samisite.com/test-csb/id47.htm And here's the direct link to the map in the sample: http://www.samisite.com/test-csb/index_mf.htm Publishing the map adds a lot of time, and when you add/delete a page, that map has to be updated for EVERY page in the tlx file because each one has a _mf.htm page that has to be updated. Thomas, believe it or not this is true: I was given the keys to my house at the closing after signing all the legal papers, and stood there the proud sole owner of a house, yet did not know where it was or how to get to it! LOL I had always been a passenger in the auto during the walk through, etc and though I knew the general area, I did not know where MY home was! I just laughed and turned to the lawyer that handled the transaction and asked for directions. Everyone in the room was STUNNED.... I think they wondered if I was mentally capable of remembering that I just purchased a home and had a new mortgage to pay monthly. If I am driving I will remember. If I am a passenger my attention wanders and I notice flowers, trees, animals, etc, but not the path taken. The maps are VERY nice. But unfortunately, my street appears unnamed on the map...I zoomed in as far as it would allow and nope...no name. Good thing I didn't use it to go home. -Samantha

You are publishing with FRAMES. Each frame has it's own htm page as it should! No it does not bulk up the site or the tlx file. It is working properly. Actually, if you were publishing your MAP also you would have gotten a 6th htm page: apples_mf.htm If you only have one border, then you would only get 2 extra htm pages, one for the border, one for the middle. You can not link to an individual frame page as Trellix and CSB produce code that forces the full page to load. Those programs also already include the <noframes> </noframes> tags that search engines need. Congrats on the cleaning! I spent a bit more than 3 hours on a friend's machine recently trying to accomplish the same thing. This person, and 2 others in his family, had been on the internet for 3 years with no protection at all on the machine! He asked me to come by when he couldn't get on the web at all...Seems the machine had been slow for about a year but he thought that was normal. Turns out that I installed (from a usb pen) Ad aware from 6 months ago. It had to be rebooted to finish. Once I got him back on the web, I updated and ran it again. In total 1177 items were found...only 300-325 were cookies, all the rest were pieces of scum that had in infiltrated his machine. I could not believe the list of crud...every shopping assist, time, day, calendar, toolbar, buddy, etc you can name, he had! Then I started with antivirus. OH MY.... what a MESS. We got him back and functional, but the antivirus program AVG does not allow Outlook Express to have more than one identity....so everything is in one for now. He does not want to purchase an antivirus program that will support more than one I predict that within the week all the work I did to clean will be undone.... Conspiracy theory: Is it possible that the companies that are built around these adware, or viruses, etc could be making or supporting the yuck so you have no choice but to purchase software for defense? There will be a special place in HELL for people that write virus, trojan or adware code and they will be forced to share with SPAMMERS. -Samantha

Just got word that our office is still without power. Was planning on going in tomorrow to reconnect server and other office equipment I dismantled before the storm, but might not be able to if no power! -Samantha

Your Baxter and my Spaz look soo much alike! My poor Spaz spent 20 hours under the daybed to avoid any weather changes! Atmospheric changes befor thunderstorms send her slinking down the hall on her belly toward my daybed in my computer room. Other than storms, she is the most brave inquisitive cat I have ever been around. -Samantha

12:10 pm Saturday: Just got my power and phone lines back after having none since 8:30 last night. Took me a couple minutes to hook up the computer again so I could post that all is well here. 2 of 3 cats didn't even realize there was something special happening. The other was hidden for 20 hours! The worst area was a few small towns (15,000 people or so) that had a large number of mobile homes. Unfortunately after hearing warnings for more than 24 hours, many local residents down there didn't listen to evacuation orders and decided to stay! Now volunteers are helping to find and identify many of them in the rubble. No final count yet. Senseless! It didn't have to happen and could have been avoided. In my area, we got horrendous wind gusts (up to 105 mph) and rain. The storm was still a category 2 when it hit us (according to a local station). But there was a blessing with Charley. He didn't stay long. If he had been a slow mover, the central part of Florida would have FLOODED, but since he buzzed through so quickly, we actually received less rain than our usual afternoon downpours. These hurricanes usually come with many tornados too, but seems that we did not have as many as many hurricanes generate. The wind caused tons of branches and whole trees to break off, or come down whole. Property damage runs the gamit but in Orange County, it could have been far worse if the storm had stayed longer. I've been through other Hurricanes that took far longer to move through so was surprised at the forward speed of this one! The total $ damages might reach a billion, but again would have been worse if the eye had hit directly downtown Tampa, or Orlando with the tall office buildings. Our street has 4 trees down and some LARGE broken limbs, all in backyards with no roof or property damage! Some folks in streets around me have trees and power lines still down and some areas of central florida will be without power for another day or so. Personally, I am thankful that I took out two HUGE pine trees in front of my home last year: one in and over power lines and one 70 foot tall 4ft fron front porch/front door with full canopy over the house! It used to drop limbs on sunny days. Without a doubt, I would have lost my living room to it last night. Went with my neighbor to see if his airsteam trailer (stored in an RV park) survived and saw so many folks trying to clean up. But our weather is not cooperating. There's a large storm coming inland from the west coast again. Thank you for the good wishes sent my way, but now they need to be directed at all the people having to deal with the aftermath of Charley. And keep your fingers crossed that the Tropical Storm #5 (following the early path of Charley) doesn't strengthen too! -Samantha (in SUNNY Orlando)

I'm in Orlando, Florida and thought at the time I started this post that we would be spared all but some thunderstorms... But now they are talking that Charley may take a turn that would take it across our inland Orange county. But even so, I am one of the fortunate ones to be in a strong home, and not near the coast or a lake. My worries go to TCHKevin and his family and several others I know that are in the Tampa/St. Pete/Sarasota areas as that will take a much harder hit than those of us inland. My neighbor has 7 family members in that area and can not leave because of sick relatives... I have cleared the front of the house of loose things that could go flying....now to deal with the back of the house and fill more water containers, just in case our water is interrupted for a short time. I was in Marathon (just before the the 7 mile bridge in the Keys) one year as a major tropical storm (not quite hurricane hit) and it was NOT pleasant to wait it out, especially when the lights went out for a while. I know there will be some TCH family members that will be affected by Hurricane Charley today or tomorrow with the leftover storms. It looks like it will bear down HARD on the Tampa-St Pete area then run throught central Florida and up the east coast of USA. Massive evacuations are taking place and even the happiest place on earth, DisneyWorld is going to be closed (only happened one other time in their history for weather-hurricane Floyd!) in anticipation of the storm. I strongly recommend you FTP directly to your website as others have suggested. You can then just insert a LINK TO URL to call up the videos. Here's a page that talks about CSB and FTP functions: http://www.samisite.com/publish/using_ftp.htm There are links to some free and paid FTP programs on that page. Use one of them with the SAME SETTINGS as in CSB (samples shown in the screen prints on the pages). Sometimes that will give you a better error message than an ftp through file manager on the host. Try uploading a SMALL txt file to your site. Then manually type in the URL into your address bar to see if you can access it. Try a larger file... then if all those work, and one of the HUGE videos doesn't, you will know that the FTP is fine, but there are other limits in place. CSB does have some FTP functions built-in. Ordinarily I would recommend you use an Insert > HTML (for video file) but the massive size of your file makes that impractical! That would make your CSB tlx file outrageously large. As I said in my post....I use that script ONLY as a speed bump! No right click script will PROTECT your images! That script is not perfect AND as I mentioned, it certainly does NOT stop folks from capturing your image in a wide variety of ways. As to modifying the script.... It does NOT contact Dynamic Drive so if you alter it (I changed the phrase in the warning), Dynamic Drive does NOT try to place a virus on your machine! That would not make sense anyway as they don't even know where the script is being used! The script also does not contain any viruses, or cause viruses. Let someone else look at the script and confirm that! Because people can copy/crop/paste, drag and drop images, I STRONGLY recommended Putting a logo, or phrase as an overlay will make the image viewable, but others would not want to take it because it is not clean, unaltered. I sent you to samples of what I mean. Takes just a few minutes to update several photos. By the way, I just tried your webpage in MOZILLA FIREBIRD and I see an alert box "right click disabled" then I see the normal right click menu, but NO OPTION for image save. Thumbs Up In Netscape 6, I get a warning, then when you move the mouse OFF the image, the standard menu that appears. Same thing as in IE 5.5 and 6.0 That's exactly the point. The save image is still in the context menu, but note that menu appears when you are not on the image itself. Thumbs Up -Samantha

Right click scripts can be VERY annoying to people like myself that live by my right click button menu. With that in mind, Dynamic Drive offers a very nice disable right click that only affects the right click on an image and DOES NOT interfer with other menu options. It warns the visitor to not take images, yet still allows full use of the menu items. I use the script to discourage the casual image taker, like a speed bump to slow them down. Find the script here: www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/noright2.htm For those who do not want to use a right click script, you can actully SLICE your image into pieces so that if someone DOES right click to grab the image, they only get part of the image. LOL The second picture on this page (sailboat) is sliced into 20 pieces and here's a tutorial: www.psphelp.com/slice.html You can not stop people from taking a screen print of your image. But you can discourage the taking of your images! Make the image less tempting, I strongly suggest you use watermarking to identify your images (an overlay graphic or text) to make the image something that someone else would not want to take. It does not need to greatly distort the image, just make it obvious where it comes from. A digital watermark is placed into the code of the image and can not be removed. If your image shows up somewhere else on the web, it is easy to prove the image is YOURS. As pointed out earlier.... expect if your image is placed on the web, that it will be taken. Many people do not believe that is it wrong to take other people's text let alone the graphics. Bless your heart. I know Ginnie is special to you and Piggie. Pets bring joy and unexpected foolishness into our lives. The time we have them is too short and should be treasured. Unfortunately, my experience with rabbits and other small animals is that even when you get a terrific vet, the animals just can't rally around well. They just don't have the resources to fall back on. I lost rabbits to ear and teeth infections even though each were caught quickly and treated very well by vets. You and your special animals are in my thoughts and prayers. Miracles still happen.... With so many good wishes you just never know what can happen! -Samantha

Since TCH has neither received the emails nor has generated the emails, it would make sense to take them out of the loop! Consider the problem is either with your ISP, or your host, or your computer. I would recommend you go back to the host you like and get advice or help tracking from them since the emails would have been processed by their server. -Samantha

VERY TRUE. If you want the search engines to find the contents of that page, do not put it in an iframe! But using iframes for some things has it's advantages as it takes up less space like the scrolling div can be used for brief descriptions or explanations. But an iframe works so well for forms that have thank you pages so the thank you appears where the form was on the page, and some very neat special effects when transparency is used, or when links need to change a small part of the page instead of opening into an entire frame, or same/new window. -Samantha
