I'm just wondering a few things, couldn't figure out where this should be posted though. I've had my hosting account with totalchoice for about a year now, and I looked at the date I originally signed up, and that was November 29th 2002.. I checked paysystems and made sure they have my current credit card info on file, and they have it set for auto renewal, so in reallity this should be pretty seemless.. they should just bill me for another year correct? is there anything else I need to make sure is taken care of?

some domain registers wont transfer a domain that's been registered in the last 60 days, or if it's going to expire in the next 10 days (at least godaddy is like that)

Interesting.. I remember the .ws tld has the same deal. they have a wild card also.. I wonder if verisign is gonna have it so if you go to a www.anynonexistantdomain.com and instead of gettin the normal dns error, you will recieve a "Would you like to buy this domain??"

If I recall correctly cpanel support's https just go to https://www.****/cpanel and the filemanager will also be ran over https

i'm pretty sure totalchoice blocks emails with a .pif attachment.. which really rocks during times like these. my corporate email simply removes the virus, and sends the rest of the msg to me. I just hope most of the people I've sent a msg to have removed my address from thier address book.. I've gotten about 5 so far today..

and if i remember correctly totalchoice uses redhat for thier linux distro.. which uses pam by default..

I ended up giving most of my old hardware away.. I had 2 xt computers, a 286, a 286 portable pc (size of a suitcase), and a bunch of pentium 1's.. i'm down to a p4 1.6/ amd xp 1700, and a amd k62 450.. I promised my parents I wouldn't keep so much junk anymore

I know for a fact Directnic gives out your addresses to spammers. I have 2 domain names with them. the second one I registered and all the contact info I had pointed to a yahoo account. (ie. nothing pointing to my first domain name).. 2 weeks later I get an email to my first domain, asking if I want to submit my second domain to search engines... I hadnt even gave anyone the domain yet or used it. gotta love spammers
