With the latest varient of virus infections going around, our mail servers have been seeing 300-500% increases in daily email traffic. While we are doing our best and the email is still flowing, it does not surprise me that your seeing slow downs.

The issue with private blacklist operations is they are full of bad listings. I have ran a check on your IP/Domain and it does not show up on any publicly maintained blacklists. You have done the correct thing by contacting the person that is maintaining the list.

Well what happened is.... Yesterday around 4pm a major security hole was found in cpanel. As outlined here. A very fast fix was announced and required a small change in cPanel. Last night cPanel (in all their glory and ultimate wisdom) pushed a new stable upgrade to all stable servers so as to fix the security issue. Oh all hail cPanel
