After many months of work and several weeks of beta testing (thanks beta-testers) TCH is proud to announce the launching of our new web site. http://www.totalchoicehosting.com http://www.tchstatus.com http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/help This has been a long project but Mitch and the beta testers saw it thru to a awesome end! Try this. Sorry https://server?.totalchoicehosting.com:2083

That is 100% possible. However, not much one could do in that case is there?

Actually if your dont have your own SSL cert, you would need to use the shared ssl. https://server4.totalchoicehosting.com/cpanel Like that If there were ANY signs that the problems were arisen from a account that someone gained unauthorized access to, do you guys really think I would terminate that persons accounts? Of course I would not. However, when I am looking at logs and I can match the persons IP from signup all the way thru to help desk ticket submissions it really is a closed case.

If you believe what crossma posted in that thread, I have some property I can sell you really cheap. Another words, do not believe every word someone posts on these forums. Is it possible for you account to be hacked. Sure it is. The PC your sitting behind reading this post can be hacked just as easily. There are many things you can do to keep your account secure. Here are just a few... 1. Use very strong passwords. 2. Change the passwords OFTEN! 3. Only use https to connect to your cpanel/whm. 4. Do no upload ANY scripts unless you fully understand them and know how they work. 5. Secure your site using .htaccess to stop directory browsing. 6. Never give FTP access to someone you dont know and fully trust. 7. Beware of email users. 8. Never allow anon ftp access. 9. Did I say dont upload scripts? Look, the bottom line is this. Crossma or someone with access to his account and personal computer got caught attempting to cover his tracks after doing some potentialy bad things. We host 20,000 clients and this is a first for us. I do not make it a habbit to kick a user out. We did a complete investigation on this user. Including tracing his IP address back to his ISP. There are no questions in our mind that he was the one behind the attempted hack attempts. Thanks

Tch Deleted My Account, Cut My Email, Without Note
Head Guru replied to crossma's topic in Reviews of TotalChoice Hosting
Your account is used in a attempt to hack our servers, and I delete your account! CASE CLOSED. I will be glad to present our findings to the BBB, the FBI and your local state authorities. Computer Crime is a Felony in the state of Michigan. Perhaps you forgot to read the TOS before you started playing around with rootkits on my server. -
The best thing to do is email our sales team. (sales@totalchoicehosting.com) I noted your post states No Cogent. Are you against cogent connections, or is the provider your with touting how bad cogent is while boasting how good their own conncetions are? Just wondering as I happen to really like cogent connectivity. If its managed right, its some of the fastest I have used. I think I know who your provider is by the way. I would like to compare pings and traceroutes to their no-cogent datacenter to some connections that use cogent. I think you would be very surprised

Can't Log On To Tch Server Using Cpanel
Head Guru replied to ramone_kalsaw's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Maybe you were copying a extra space at the start or end of the password. Since the password is all *** out it is hard to tell if that happens. I am just glad your up and running -

Check your email and try the new username/password combo I just set up. I think you are simply having issues with upper/lower case. Please reply here and let us know if the new ones work for you. Bill -

New Windows Vulnerability In Help System
Head Guru replied to borfast's topic in Security Discussions
I have the best patch available. It is called the "Alternate OS Patch" -
The real time server stats pages are grabing stats directly from the servers. So if a server is crashing, crashed, apache is down or the server is seeing very high loads the page will not work correctly. So if server59 was loaded up when you looked at the real time server stat pages there is a good chance you saw a lot of nothing. Make Sense? Also, in a few weeks I will be rolling out much more improved server pages. It only gets better! Bill

Yes it looks 100% legit. Nick works in the domains department.
