Policy on Upgrades to accounts. Any existing customer that wishes to upgrade a monthly hosting account to yearly billing - 1. Will be issued a invoice for 12 months of service at the base monthly rate of the plan they choose. 2. The "Head Guru" special does not apply to existing customers. The free month is only an option to new clients or new domains. Cancelling your plan and signing up again also will not entitle you to a free month. 3. Once your yearly payment is made we will discontinue your monthly billing and place your account on a re-ocurring yearly billing cycle. Any existing customer that wishes to upgrade a monthly hosting package to a new monthly package - 1. Will be issued a invoice for the monthly plan that they wish to upgrade to. 2. Once this invoice is paid there account will be upgraded and the old billing will be cancelled. 3. We will no longer pro-rate the days left in any existing plan, it is creating to much paperwork. So if you want to upgrade try to plan it at the end of your billing cycle.

Couple of thoughts. Can you receieve email? What username are you parsing in your outlook client? If its a addon account it should be the full user name such as user@**** The mail servers for bot smtp and pop are - mail.**** What ISP are you on , as some ISP's will block second party SMTP traffic over port 25. Have you asked them if they do in fact block port 25. AS you can send and receive from webmail it indicates to me that the problem is on the client side and not the server side. Please report back and lets see whats going on.

Hi, Couple of issues with the chmod workaround. Its ok if you do that but I would advise against that fix. When you disallow the file to be updated you are essentially bypassing any updates to the stats file. Thus if my admin team trys to push a update for AWstats your left behind. So this could be a problem. For example we are pushing updates to AWstats soon because of a mandatory update required from Cpanel. Now, this means that everyone gets that update cept the clients who altered the permissions. Just my 2 cents.

Hey, There has been a known issue with AWstats since Darkorb sent out Release 100 of CPanel. We have just recieved update 117 and applied that patchs and it appears to have fixed the AWstats problem of not updating. They are now updating and it will take a day or so for me to look at them and determine if they are working they way they should. Update to follow.

However, after they have neared completion the customer feels the site is not responding as fast as it should, and is slower than most other sites. After a long discussion he agreed to let some of our forums users test the site to see how it loads. Here is what I am asking. Broadband Users report back. KW, THis is the coolest thing since the computer. MY wife used to use it in the kitchen for keeping an address book and so on. I took it and now it a permanent fixture in my den. I hacked it out with linux and a cf card, turns of the CF card died. I throw a new cf card a loaded up linux and its working again.

Anybody play with these things before? I hacked it out awhile back and coded linux to a CF card, now it wont boot. I am wondering if CF cards have a limited read/write life.

The budget account does not give you any sub domains. However, all the other accounts all for subdomains. Yes you can host separate web sites in each sub domain. Thats fine. Here comes the big HOWEVER, you can not give away free web sites using the sub domain scheme. Thanks for considering us. Bill

Ok - I will answer one at a time. 1. Nothing is working on my FrontPage (I have tried everyway to get to my site and nothing) ----I have used FrontPage for years and never run into this much of a wall Give a little more information would be nice. I have no clue what the issue is unless you tell me whats broke. 2. I can NOT even use the Help Desk (says my log-in and password are not correct (which means I get no technical support available to me). You did not read the text above the login at the help desk. I will paste it here. "Please log in to your help desk account below, or create an account. First time users must register to use this help desk. Your hosting account username and password will not work on the help desk unless you have registered with the Help Desk using that information!" 3. Yesterday (before all these problems), I was all ready to move all of my sites (4 or 5) to a reseller account with TotalChoice Hosting. I sent an e-mail saying that I wanted to "upgrade to reseller" and NO one has replied (I am trying to give them more money). Being that yesterday was a weekend, how fast would you like sales to respond. We get about 500 emails on any given day. Things take time. 4. Through all of this headache, one person was helpful -- Nicholas. If he didn't exist, I would be wondering if anyone is there. All of our reps are here to help. Nick is a great tech support person, kudos to him. 5. I know that my password and username are correct because I CAN get to the control panel. I think the answer given to number 2 shall explain this.

I dont understand your ? You can create unlimited DB's with most of our packages. If you could re-state your question maybe that would help. Sorry Bill
