WRIGHT AGAIN!

The Wright Redux Association (WRA, Glen Ellyn, IL), has constructed a

functional replica of Orville and Wilbur Wright's Wright Flyer from 1903.

Three years in the making, the WRA's replica was the first to achieve an

airborne test flight on April 28, 2003.

The WRA received assistance from many companies including Bison Gear and

Engineering (St. Charles, IL). Bison contributed its facilities, gear motor

expertise, and the engine's gearing, ignition system, and magnets.

Together, they plan to fly the replica, named the "The Spirit of Glen

Ellyn", on the front lawn of the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago on the

centennial anniversary of the Wright's maiden flight December 17, 2003.
