Hi, I am sorry to hear we don't meet your needs, we do try. Unfortuantley the lines must be drawn somewhere and we have to remain firm on them. Slip here, and someone else will come along wanting the same and then it will all go down the drain! I wish you luck in your quest. Of course, if you had a reseller account, you could have multiple domains. Jim

Ah ok Right, whats the subdomain your creating? If you still have a problem, submit a help ticket and I will take a look. Jim

Cpanel Unable To Turn Index Off For Root Dir?
TCH-JimE replied to Vernon's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Hi, That is the only way to do it. Its basically because its unlikey a site wont have an index page in the root. Jim -
Hi, The best thing to do is to goto google and search for banner ads. Most sites will just give you a short bit of coding which you include into your HTML. In all honesty I hate them and detest them. Bugman

Hi, 15 Seconds - Paint takes 2 long to load on this work machine. Simple task of loading up a non IE browser and pressing "print screen". Open up paint and paste and trim I can do the same in IE, just I need to use a freebie package to capture the image. Proof: Soz! Jim

Hi, Glad everything now works Jim

To test your hotlinking: and also: That should appear with a red X or your refused image Jim
-
Hi, Having just handcoded my .htaccess file so that my hotlinking now works (don't ask why, my account has a qurk in it which means CPANEL doesnt get hotlinking to work) here goes: Basically, say I want your image on my website, hence i put Http://www.naturalimagesweb.com/image1.jpg with all the right img src tags. Then the server looks up the list in HTACCESS and says "Hang on a second, the web page where this is asking for the image is not on my list" and then gives the refused image instead. Jim

Understanding The Redirection/subdomain Concept.
TCH-JimE replied to Mastermind500's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Hi, I) Temp/Perm is actually a note left to a search engine. If it comes across the link and its marked temp, its told to come back and retry it later. II) If you want to redirect a subdomain, goto the subdomain panel and redirect it from there! Jim -
Hi, Even if you do the java way, its still possible to capture it. The ONLY way to ensure that your prints are not "borrowed" is to water mark each one of them with a visable water mark. If you plan to sell them, you can provide them without the watermark, but otherwise, you will need to water mark them visually. I know this will spoil your picture, but otherwise as soon as its on the screen, its nickable unless altered Jim

Anything which is defined as more then one site or different themes. Yes this does, as each family member has a "personal website". If they are all of the same theme, then its a single website, if each one is different, (even though it may have common intrests) they count as being seperate sites. By the defintion above, it would be againest tos. A breach occurs if two or more sites are created on a non reseller account. This includes the sneaky use of subdomains to allow a different type of website. Correct. This would be a breach of TOS. Its not about "commercial" side, its the fact there would be two different websites. Here is a an example: User is a family guy, married, 2.4 kids, car, job etc Http://www.mydomainname.com HttP://forum.mydomainname.com Http://blog.mydomainname.com Http://pics.mydomainname.com Http://links.mydomainname.com So we have the main domain name, a forum for the domain, a blog for the users life, some pics of the family and a links section. However, if he wished to put in the following: Http://library.mydomainname.com Or Http://forumforclub.mydomainname.com Or Http://tom.mydomainname.com All would be againest TOS as they represent a different site. I hope this makes things clearer Ask any further questions and I will only be too happy to answer them! Jim

Hi, Digital, can you please confirm or deny that you have a reseller account or 8 different accounts with us please so that you can host these 8 sites. Thanks Jim

Hi, Intresting, I had not updated to the new version, now I have and I see further problems with it. I will have a think and see what I can come up with Jim

Hi, I understand what your asking, but to do what your asking, you have to trawl through your entire forum php files and change every single one of them to the right path. What are you trying to achieve at the end of the day? Jim
-
72hrs for the domain name to propergate through the net. The best thing to do is to have your website all ready in place on the new host. You can access this via the IP address we give you in your welcome email. Then once the transfer has taken place, if you have an old site, you can delete it. As soon as you account is created, you are given an IP addresses which you can use immediatley. As pointed out that, would be againest our agreement with our clients, but a few of us have sigs after our name. Jim Thanks.

Hi, I see no reason why it would be slow on our servers for, although anything which heavily zaps the CPU usage will be warned about, although I can't see your site doing this. Mysql is only as fast as mysql is. If the same script is taking between a few and 80 seconds to run, there is something wrong. As long as your not wanting to run a server on it, and abide by TCH rules and regs, you site should be fine. However, best thing you could do, is give us a try. Why? We offer a 30 day money back policy, so you could upload your site and have a play and if you don't like it, then you can have your money back. Although I doubt you will want to leave! Jim
-
Yes you may create your own cron jobs and if your not happy, we have 30 day money back policy Look foward to seeing you join total choice hosting Jim
-
Odd. Unless u want to start a help ticket or PM me your details I dunno what else to suggest as mine is always left well alone! Jim
-
Hi, How did you check it? Via the webmail version? If your worried, drop a help ticket in and we shall take a look Jim

Hi, If you had used a non microsoft emailer, or sent your email in just normal format rather then Outlooks spruced up html version, the link you provide, like www.mydomainname.com will still appear in the email and not be blocked out. Unfortuantley, not everyone is clued up and on the ball as you are Chuck, also new viruses come out every day that virus checkers may miss temporarly (I remember a nimda all too well). By protecting the users, we protect everyone, including thoose who are not as well protected as yourself. You could provide instead a link to a page where they can download the exe extenstion. I know I dont like getting files with exe at the end of them! Jim

Its been "almost ready" for nearly a year. SSLinks runs fine for me :-) Jim

Hi, My brain is requiring more coffee so excuse me if this dont make sense! Right, that package I believe will only run on your home computer, not on the server, as the server is apache (linux) and win32 does not run on apache AFAIK. If your happy with this, then goto the FAQ pages on the main website, and there is a step by step instructions for connecting to a database from the outside world Jim
