Andrew, I will make Head Guru aware of this, but I hope your password is not only hard to crack (needs to be 8 letters long, a mixture of words, numbers and characters, not names or dates etc) and that you have no FTP's open with simple passwords and last but not least, you have permissions set correctley on your folders Jim

Hi, I used to have to code for NS4, but now, its near impossible and the technology is outdated that NS4 uses, so now all sites are coded to IE 5.5+ NS6+ and anything else that might work with it. THe users are warned that the page needs these browsers and may not work with anything lower. I do then browse the site in NS4, but its time to slowly put that browser to bed. Permanently. Also a word on AWSTATS is that its not perfect. If a NS4 user browsers your site regularly but has say a dial up connection that changes his IP each time, AWSTATS will see it each time as a new visitor. Jim

Hi, Several options: 1) Have a 2nd space which is not on your allow list, this could be a free webspace with ads like tripod or geocities, or in my case, about 30 different work servers. Upload a test page calling a graphic from your website, it should come up with a red X if hotlinking is working. Note, try and make sure its a fresh image that you have not yet seen in the browser, otherwise you may find that your web browser is using the cache of old websites you have visited and displaying the link. 2) Put a # infront of the Totalchoice web hosting line. Now try and post an image in the forums here. Again, needs to be a fresh image but it should not show. If you have any more questions, please do feel free to ask! Thanks Jim

Morning Boxturt, my afternoon don't start for another 30 minutes! hehe I used to have a 900mhz Thunderbird althon on roughly the same motherboard (mine came with Raid support) and in the end, I brought myself a cheap motherboard which could run the latest Althon chips and decent memory/AGP. However, I would like to point out that come september, the new 64bit chips arrive on the scene. Now they aint going to be cheap, but either you wait around for them to become a bit cheaper (6 months) or you buy a MEGA cheap board because in a years time, it will be out of date anyway! Also, the new Pentium 4 running at 3.6G Mhz is suppsoed to be ripstoppingly good. Although why would anyone want to spend that much money on it??? Jim
