  2. Hi, With the new edition, no thats not possible. You could download the raw datalogs and run it through one of the many free anazlyers which may give you the information Jim
  3. This is worth waiting for, Andy, what time here in the uk will that be? Jim
  4. Hi, Look again, but use something like cpanel file manager, it will be there. Jim
  5. Hi, 1st off, the main one is in the public_html folder. Then each subdomain will also have on in thier own folders too Jim
  6. Hi, Correct they are front page. 1st. Back up your current htaccess file. 2. Login into cpanel and use cpanel to remove frontpage completley (under site management) 3. Restore your htaccess file Jim
  7. Hi, Just booted it up and it works fine. Are you still have problems with it? Jim
  8. Hi, Rocket Rob, let me explain a few things. 1) Your username. When you sign up, we take the first couple of characters from your domain name and your own name if required, and if there is a - in the domain name, then unfortunately, because its all one big automated system, cpanel accepts it to be a valid username, when in fact, mysql and cpanel can't work together if a - is present. Because it is all automated, we have no way of changing it until after the event. Clients just need to drop a help desk ticket in and the job is done. 2) The tutorial for connecting to a database works for 99% of our client database. Just because you can connect to one, does not mean that you can connect to every other database, nor does it suggest that any part of the line, whether its you, us or the connection in between is wrong. 3) We treat all clients the same. Whether they pay us $4 a month or $300 a month, we treat each client as the same, and give each client exactly the same treatment. This, in my humble opinion is how all businesses should treat clients. I am sorry if so far you have had an unhappy experience with totalchoice web hosting and I can only hope things improve between us Thumbs Up Jim
  9. Glad you have found a home  Jim
  10. Hi, Your post was not deleted, we have just tonight moved the forums, so your post proberley got caught up in the in moving. You have several possible choices: 1) Move your domain to us. You will need to start a domain transfer. This will take 3-7 days and will cost you $10.95 which will add one more year to your current domain length. We have no control over how much they will charge you to release it. 2) You can change the domain name servers to point to ours. This is free and takes upto 72 hours to come into effect 3) You can buy a domain and then we can park it for you. This will mean it will be placed ontop of your current website so it points to the same route directory as your current one does. Its free to park, so all you pay is the cost of the domain name! Any more questions, let us know! Jim
  11. Woohoo! Nice one Bill Jim
  12. We shall hunt for one and see what we can do, no promises though! Jim
  13. Hi, I would use php includes. SSI is ok but it becomes a pain after a while and a simple line of PHP is quite easy to get to grips with. The difference in bandwidth will be nominal. Actually from that website you can download a script which just uses DIV tags meaning that the page is never reloaded. Jim
  14. Hi, That would actually involve setting up, in effect, "a new website" as thats what each account really is. True it could be done, buts its a poor way of doing it. So as it stands, Bill's answers is still correct Jim
  15. Hi, 1) Yes its possible to move the Invision board. We have no tutorials, but I am sure the IPB web site does. 2) Gallery, this is tricky. I would like to say the answer is yes, but knowing gallery and having used it alot, I would answer no. Not because we don't support it here, because we do, but beacause I have a feeling, gallery just does not like being moved. If you don't like us, just take advanatge of the 30 day money back policy! Jim

    Code

You can actually align it to any part of the table. Or even use CSS so you only have to type it once! Jim
  17. Hi, Glad your really thinking about your hosting company, rather then just picking any old one and then getting frustrated with the overall result. We monitor our pages daily and are always making sure that all links work and if we find one that doesn't, red flags go up immediately and the page is changed so the link works. Also all help desk tickets are ALWAYS responded too (Bill gets out the Wet fish if we don't!) We never close a ticket saying "sorry, can't help", we will either fix the problem for you or point you in the direction of the best help. Our servers have a 99.9% reliability uptime through out the year. Occasionally one has to be rebooted so it will be down for about 2 minutes, and if we have to completely take it off line, we post up here first to let you know. If something does go wrong, Bill has a pager which goes off and within a few minutes he and about 5 other Gurus are on the scene seeing what is wrong and doing the correct fix. The site is owned by you, your domain name will be owned by you, if you want to leave (I will cry!) then thats your own choice, but I don't think you will want to leave. You are completely responsible for your site. Not only do we have some of the best Gurus out there to help you, we have this excellent family here at totalchoicehosting so that there is always someone who will be able to answer your question for you. I look forward to seeing you as part of the family! Jim
  18. Yes someone did I suggest something like cutesite builder! Jim
  19. Hi, Ah the old frame and dhtml menu trick, this was must adventure into html and is what really made me sit and learn HTML. First off, I suggest that you get rid of the frame, use includes instead. 2nd of all, get hold of this menu script: http://www.twinhelix.com Side menu version: http://www.twinhelix.com/dynamic.html and top down menu version: http://www.twinhelix.com/dhtml/scripts/popup.html I say loose the frames, because such menus are difficult to work accross the frames. Good luck and write back here if more help is required! Jim
  20. Hi, AFAIK, it must be a IP address, sorry! Jim
  21. Agreed it is still for sale Jim
  22. Hi, Not bad, although I dislike Iframes as you might have understood already. As a side note, I suggest you make the width of the page smaller by about 50 px. On my 1064 wide screen, i have to scroll left or right to see the full content which is a tad annoyance to any surfer Jim
  23. Hi, Front Page is a bit of a nightmare to get to work with hotlinking. I have not tested the brand new FrontPage 2003 yet but I am guessing this will be the same Jim
  24. Hi, We are not responsible for what appears on your site, you are in all senses of the law. I also suggest you read here: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/web-hosting-aup.html As it stands, I don't see a problem with it as long as you duly note that you do not own the copy right of the material on the website, and that its used without permission and provide a link to a place where they can email you to remove it should they prove they own it. Jim
  25. That code is taken of a IIs windows server and will not work here on the Linux boxes that we use. Its also not a complete code either as its using objects from the server Jim
