Welcome to the forum, Reality_Burst. If you did a clean install and the errors shows up anyway, it sounds to me something is wrong in the installation package (zip file). I would download a fresh copy of it and try to install from that new package. If that fails, check out the SMF forum located here, there might be someone else who had this problem.

I got inspired by vengavenga so I calculated what a gallon of gas would cost here in Sweden, $6.28. I am glad I don´t even have a drivers license.

The only thing I can think of is if the person is having cpanel on the other host, then you could do a home backup and then restore it on the new location, but I am not sure if there is a better way.

I believe the the #1 is a permission problem. Make sure all the album folders have the correct permission (including the ones you eventually have set up yourself).
