  1. We won´t block you for such a thing.

  3. I´m glad we could help. Have your boyfriend sign up to this forums and tell him to pop over to the introduction forum so we can welcome him. As for the bumping....this is more like an update on the conversion progress. Bumping is when you post again a few hours or days later asking why no one answered.

  5. As far as I know it can take several months to get something removed from googles index and have google re index it. I would set up a 404 error page with a "home link" so the visitors gets to know the page does not exist and can go to the homepage and choose the correct link.
  6. Please see if this thread helps.

  11. If you want, submit a ticket and ask to have your account reprovisioned (ie look like as it was on day one). I am not sure it will clean out any eventual email adresses and such though.
  12. Here´s Googles new project, Project Teaspoon. Description: Free wireless broadband throughout your home, a host of optional breakthrough applications. I just need a new toilet.
  13. Welcome to the forum, Honeymoon.
  14. I ment the same thing as you did Steve. I just took an example with the newsletter.

  16. You´re welcome.
  17. As I see it, it is a prefered method if you are lets say signing up for a newsletter. Then you could set up a forwarder called newsletters_name@your_domain.com, have it forward to your "real" account and then if you get anything else but the newsletter on this account (ie spam etc), you just delete the forwarder and no more spam on that forwarding adress. Only problem with that is that you loose the newsletter too, but on the other hand perhaps you dont want a newsletter from someone who spam/sell your adress.
  18. This is correct.

  20. Welcome to the forum, bigdog. Since this is a propagation issue and therefor sort of resolved I have removed the image link from your post since it contained user sensitive data. Please do not post user names, password, email adresses and such things in the forum.
  21. Several improvements and security fixes. Get it at: http://download.openoffice.org/
  22. Welcome to the forum, Bobby.
  23. First of all, your post answer the question itself, the parts about the SMF forum and the bandwidth/disc space, no telling about the OS, file permission problems, ie I could quote your whole post. Second, this family forum, if I have a problem, I know where to go. I was with one of those "free but we put lots o of ads on your site" hosts before coming to TCH. TCH-Don recommended me TCH and I have never looked back.
  24. Welcome to the forum, David. While I haven´t installed Dokuwiki I assume it works as any other script. If you want the wiki to be accessible through example.net it would go in to the public_html. If you want it in a subfolder (ie example.net/dokuwiki) it would go in to public_html/dokuwiki.
  25. Welcome to the forum, Daryl.
