  8. From: Secunia secunia.com/advisories/28225/ Rating: Moderately critical Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in TikiWiki, where some have unknown impacts and others can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks. 1) Input passed into the "movies" parameter in tiki-listmovies.php is not properly sanitised before being used, which can be exploited to conduct directory traversal attacks. 2) Input passed to the "area_name" parameter in tiki-special_chars.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. 3) Certain unspecified vulnerabilities exist in tiki-edit_css.php, tiki-list_games.php, and tiki-g-admin_shared_source.php. More information is currently not available. Solution: Update to version 1.9.9. As a workaround, disable the "edit css", "games", and "galaxia" feature and delte tiki-listmovies.php and tiki-special_chars.php.

  16. I am not sure if you are hosted on a TCH server but you do not appear to be according to a whois search, so depending on how your host have it all set up I guess it will be a bit hard to answer but someone else might have an answer to this. You should purchase an account here then we could answer it more easier.
  17. The .htaccess file should be put in the folder where you have joomla installed. So if joomla is installed in the root/public_html, the .htaccess goes there. If joomla is installed in subfolder (example your-tch-domain.com/joomla), the .htaccess goes there.

  23. The databse info can be found in configuration.php, so download this file to your own computer and open it in notepad or similar and you should find the following info. >The database name is on line $mosConfig_db = 'cpanelusername_databasename'; The database password is on line $mosConfig_password = 'The password'; The database user name is on line $mosConfig_user = 'cpanelusername_username';
  24. I don´t know if I have missunderstood Bruce´s reply but Joomla can be installed directly in public_html/root and not only within a directory/folder in public_html/root. When you install Joomla through Fantastico it will ask you where you want it installed, leave that field empty and it will install in public_html/root. However by installing Joomla in its own folder with public_html/root you can modify it as much as you want before going live with the site (ie visitors only typing your-tch-domain.ext will not see it). After that, then you can do as Bruce says and visitors will see your Joomla installation directly by typing your-tch-domain.ext and not something like your-tch-domain.ext/joomla.
