That could be a problem anywhere,your computer, between you and the server, or a problem with the server I guess. Have you done a traceroute? Please do one if possible and post the result here and we can easier see where the problem might be. What´s the domain? If you give us a link we can see if it works for others.

Silverlight is Microsofts answer to Adobes Flash, meaning some webdesigners may chose Silverlight to build their sites with instead of using Flash. Having both installed is not a problem and having Silverlight installed is a must for those sites where the webdesigner has chosen Silverlight.

First of all, I edited out your cpanel name. Please do not post user sensitive in a the forum such as cpanel name. There has always been an option to upgrade automatically through the Fantastico section of your cpanel, are that what you are referring to? If not, the only "automatic" upgrade options I think there has ever been in wordpress itself are the ones for plugins (introduced just a few versions ago) and the upgrade for the wordpress script/software which was just introduced in the current version 2.7.

Instead of using "File manager" chose "Legacy File manager" 3 Check the box saying "Show Hidden Files (dotfiles)" Now you should see the htaccess file and you can download it to your computer and add the: Reupload the htaccess file and make sure its called .htaccess when uploaded.
