You might also want to try Ultimate Form Mail found here.

This may sound silly, but the silliest questions are the most often overlooked. Have you made any changes, other than to the content of the page? In CPanel perhaps? When you try to upload, are you seeing data transfer (in the little icon at the bottom of your window or your modem lights?) On a side note, since you're still having quite a bit of difficulty, have you researched other HTML editors? I know there are several free ones out there that don't require a steep learning curve.

Woo-hoo! Happy it's working for you!

That would do it! Glad to hear you got things sorted out!

Jayson...I did the same thing. But when it asked to search for updates, I said yes, and my extensions updated w/o any problems! I wish IE was this easy to update!

Also, with a CMS you can assign different people to be "responsible" for content in different areas. That way, you are not the only person editing the site and it can free up your time. I'm doing that on a youth soccer club site and it comes in handy during tournaments! I'm busy refereeing games and the LAST thing I want to do after a long day is go home and update a web site. I allow one person to update the tournament section directly from the tournament site. And everyone is happy!

You're right Raul. Of course, my personal take on this is...Access is made by who? Enough said right there. Blackcat...I think you'll be happier with MySQL instead of Access. There are many resources available out there to help you understand it.

You can use MySQL for anything that you would use something like Oracle for. Of course, each program will have its pluses and minuses...depending upon whom you talk to.

While I personally have not tried it, I usually take to heart the old saying "...if it's too good to be true, it usually is." Having said that, if you try this app, post something back here and let everyone know how it works out!

Problem Downloading Site From Some Links
stevevan replied to Mission's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
FYI...I'm at a hotel in Jacksonville, FL. The .org links won't load, but the .com ones load just fine from here. -
MySQL for me...because it's just as powerful as anything out there and, the best part, it's FREE! And because I like working with databases (have an Oracle DBA), I usually code mine by hand.

Welcome to the forums flamesville! You might want to see if there is a "...For Dummies" book out there. I have several of those and still refer to them on occasion.

If you're asking for beginner info on web development, I would do a google search on the words "beginning web development". There are many informative sites out there. I would also look at some of the code behind your favorite sites (click on View, then View Source) and see what makes them tick. Then create a page off of your main site and play with the code and see how it affects things. Make notes on what you did and what worked and what didn't. (I've got a pretty thick folder of my "exploits"!) But that's where the fun of learning the internet is! For info on forums, the best source is the homepage for the forum developers. Hope this helps!

Contacted Regarding Domain Registration
stevevan replied to kellybellydotnet's topic in Open Discussion
Excellent advice Kelly. With many people relating stories like this, it surprises me how some people STILL get duped! -
I'd suggest either one. You can always quickly upgrade.
