yeah...no sense giving spammers something easy to work with and risking your site and account! BTW...UFM is a very good script. It can be as easy or involved as you want to make it. And if you run into any problems, the author has a forum that answers nearly all of your questions. (Of course, there are several family members right here who use it also! )

Without knowing what forums software you're using, is there an option in the administrative section to block by IP address?

Might want to try leaving off the "href=" at the end, like in : <a href="http://yourwebsite.com" target="_blank">link here</a>

Vachula: As cajunman4life pointed out, you situation sounds like a problem for the help desk. Simply open a ticket (link above). Us Mods don't have access to the servers. Oh...and welcome to the forums!

I wouldn't be worried. Quite the contrary...I'm excited! The last time Bill did this we got something quite nice. So I would expect something that would benefit all of us!

One other thing I forgot to mention...don't forget about checking out the "HTML for Dummies" book. I have several of these types for various programming languages and they make it very easy to retain information. You can pick it up at nearly any major bookstore or online retailer.

Have you checked at any of the open source sites? Several to choose from if you do a google search.

The easiest (and obvious) way would be to transition to another program. There are many available that will help you learn HTML as you go...several are even free! Do a search on HTML editors and you will find a lot. I've always said that Frontpage is a great product for beginners to learn on. But once you start looking in the HTML tab and learning the "how and why" things work, you'll want to increase your knowledge. Once that happens, then HTML will become easier for you. I won't say that there isn't a learning curve, but in the end, you'll be much happier.

I am not the author of this, but I thought I'd pass it along. ===================================== You may not know this but many non-living things have a gender. 1) Ziploc Bags are Male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them. 2) Copiers are Female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again. It's an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can wreak havoc if the wrong buttons are pushed. 3) A Tire is Male, because it goes bald and it's often over-inflated. 4) A Hot Air Balloon is Male, because, to get it to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under it, and of course, there's the hot air part. 5) Sponges are Female, because they're soft, squeezable and retain water. 6) A Web Page is Female, because it's always getting hit on. 7) A Subway is Male, because it uses the same old lines to pick people up. 8) An Hourglass is Female, because over time, the weight shifts to the bottom. 9) A Hammer is Male, because it hasn't changed much over the last 5,000 years, but it's handy to have around. 10) A Remote Control is Female. Ha! You thought it'd be male, didn't you? But consider this - it gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know the right buttons to push, he keeps trying!
