Engage Internet Lock basically shuts down your machine from the outside. I personally used to swear by ZA until I was having some major VPN issues, which they either refused to acknowledge or ignored. (A LOT of complaints on their web site.) So, I'm just relying on the good ol' MS Firewall. (That's ok...this is a company laptop...not mine! )

Welcome to life on the internet. As Bruce said, make sure your default address on your site is set to :fail:. Also, if you know the email to be spam, DON'T OPEN IT (especially if you're using Outlook or Outlook Express) as it may contain a virus. Simply delete it. Out of all my email accounts, I probably delete about 25-30 messages a day that I don't even open.

Found this by doing a google search on "norbots". If you read into the thread, there are some suggestions offered that you could try.

Welcome to the forums. When you say "...the same internet connection..." do you mean that everyone in the same house but on different computers can see it, or are they just using the same provider but in different locations? If they are in the same house sharing the same internet connection (i.e. using cable/dsl and a hub), then it would narrow the problem quickly to your specific computer. I would start with Don's suggestion and then work your way backwards towards your machine to isolate the issue.

The only unspammable link is one that is not put out on the Internet.

I know the feeling...which is why TCH is stuck with me for quite a while! If you are able to, I would suck up the $$ lost, (maybe claim it on taxes?) and move to TCH. Especially if this site is a money-maker for you!

Last week I received an email in response to a contest I entered. The jist of the thing has to do with an opportunity to win a new Ford. The way it works is that during the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game this evening, if Tampa scored first in the game, I would win an opportunity to choose one of 50 keys that will start one of 10 brand new Ford vehicles on April 22. Well, Tampa scored first and it looks like I have to be in Tampa on April 22!
