  1. Here's some of today's snow for those of you who are overheating already...
  2. Around 32 in Small Pond, Connecticut too. Snowing too. Still. Or again. I'm not sure. Yuck!
  3. Server level was what I was hoping for I will just be happy that I (at least) have Mailwasher and can sort through the junk before it hits the machine and has potential to do serious damage. Thanks guys, always appreciated.
  4. Hi Rob, thanks for the reply. I do initially check with Mailwasher (all my accounts) so at least I can weed them out from there and prevent them from getting to the machine. Then I'm using netscape for my mail. I know I can set that for a size limit but that still leaves stuff on the server. That's what I'm trying to avoid. Being able to sorta "blackhole" anything over a certain size would be outstanding.
  5. Nice and Handy! Thanks
  6. I am still getting pounded by all this garbage email - viri / worms / trojans - and trying to keep up with filters and assassins and the like is time consuming and not really effective. Can email be filtered by it's size? Anything legit coming to me isn't ever more than about 5k.
  7. ah........I wish. but I'd love some ice cream.....
  8. I'm still doing everything by hand but I am curious as to trying the other methods again. I have dabbled in some others but I think I have a control issue here because a "wizard" will undoubtedly throw in something I didn't ask for. Then it takes forever to hunt down and fix / destroy. But that's just me.
  9. Yes, you can do it that way. Just be sure to actually check off the appropriate boxes rather than just changing the number. ...also wondering the apples and oranges...
  10. Yup, it can Tools>>Options>>General
  11. I think that's only for 'local settings' under your user name but I'm not 100% sure.
  12. AH HA!!! I can do that, I think. I have this thing for having hard copy of everything I guess Thanks.
  13. Same thing here Thomas
  14. Ok, dumb question coming........ I got curious about this so I ordered Knoppix 3.3 (2003-11-19) and started to check it out. I read the openning pages and then all my fun came to an abrupt end. How do I open it?? What program or application?? I'm afraid to guess ( from command line? )because something terrible will happen I'm sure. TIA
  15. Congratulations and thank you for all your time and knowledge
  16. One here at TCH and a couple at GoDaddy.
  17. That midieval case is excellent Mike. I can't imagine the amount of work. Good on you!
  18. To what are we counting down?
  19. T'weren't a fence nor stone wall in town could hold me back
  20. Way to go Eric, real nice first ride!! My first car was a tractor. Really. I have the normal cars now, '94 Escort, '96 Taurus wagon, a Horizon (forgot what year) and, are ya ready? - a '71 'Cuda (hehe) No hemi, modified 404 and I think it came out of the garage twice last summer Oh, one more thing - it's my wife's car
  21. it doesn't like line 12 (position:absolute;) in base_style.css If you take it out or change it to position:relative; the links become active but the rest of the page shifts down.
  22. That is odd, and while I can't see the exact cause I can tell you that if you eliminate the reference to base_style.css the problem goes away. (of course you lose the formatting) Maybe that narrows it down a little?
  23. Glad it's working Sherie Thanks Bruce, that's some good info.
