Path To Cgi-bin Relative To Html Docs
TCH-Rob replied to Bompa's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Bompa, Welcome to the forums. The cgi-bin directory is located in the root directory. I am not sure of htdocs as I do not have that folder in my file system. As for the forums, I do not believe that question has been asked before and therefore would not be found. Granted, we only have a little over 6,000 registered users on this forum but I think that the structure is laid out relatively well. Then again, I have been here over two years so maybe it is just familiar to me. Even at that it was pretty easy to find what to post and where. Most new users seem to be able to find what they need and post in the right place, otherwise there would be many more requests to redo the site. -

Server Settings Causing Cms Wysiwig Not To Work?

Happy to help. If I do it in regular view, no link at all is created, I just get the <a> and </a> and no href= or the link information. -
Server Settings Causing Cms Wysiwig Not To Work?
TCH-Rob replied to valerie's topic in Scripting Talk
I have to edit it manually. It does not work for me in regular view. I cannot say what it may be but I am sure the server and most likely your computer are not the problem. -

Server Settings Causing Cms Wysiwig Not To Work?
TCH-Rob replied to valerie's topic in Scripting Talk
Now, when I go to HTML view and edit the link manually, it creates it just fine and the link works fine. No slashes. I do know that often times when working with PHP one will use a slash before things like an apostrophe so the PHP will display it and not think of it as part of the code but I am not sure how that would be an issue here. -

Interesting. I see how it ads the slashes in your post on the other forum over there. I am trying to create a link, I select the text I want to be a link, click the link button and put the path in. I click the ok button and get back to my typing window and see the underlined text. When I save the page and view it, there is no link at all. -

I installed it and created a WYSIWYG page, put some text in and saved it with no issues. Page even displays OK for me. -

You cannot edit php.ini as it controls the entire server and not just your account. That said, file_uploads should be set to on for all the servers.

This works http://uniquedesignsbyella.com/public_html/ Your remote directory should be just "/" without the quotes and it should be ok.

Iframes are all over the place and I think it is very selfish, why not make uframes or usframes. Next will be the meframe or the myframe. It is this lack of consideration for others in our frames that makes the Internet such an unfriendly place and I for one am not going to take it anymore.

Alaska sounds nice about now. As to it being a dry heat, I say hot is hot. I spent a few years in Louisiana, even though it is hot and humid, I somehow remember it not being as bad. Maybe it is the 18 years here or that I am older now and cant take the extremes I could then. Most of you have a cooling spell in the evenings. To experience Arizona summers if you have not been here all you have to do it turn your oven on and crawl in for eight months. That should give you an idea, and don't forget to close the door.

This place continues to amaze me. Our monsoons are a few weeks away yet we just had a storm blow through. 104, high winds and rain. That means when tomorrow hits 111 all that water will evaporate. Any ideas what that means? Hope it does well for all the fires in the state being fought right now.

Sheesh, It is 10:00PM here and it is still 104 degrees, thats 40 for you metric people. I am thinking of installing an automobile cooling system in my bed so I can get a little sleep without waking in a pool each morning. At least my reptiles are enjoying it. What do you guys do to deal with your summer heat?
