That is what I was referring to. Sorry I did not make it clear earlier. -
Howto Setup A Second Phpbb For Testing
TCH-Rob replied to h-buck's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
I am sure there is another way to do this but all I can think of is to create a new database and copy the contents of the existing forum into it. Then change the config in the new forum to use the new database. -
No problem, This issue had me a bit perplexed because if you were doing it as you say you were then it should work. Showing the code after confused me, though this is normal. I was taking a guess that you might have been using IE as your browser and it hit me that a feature I noticed when copying text from my IE browser and pasting it into FrontPage under the HTML tab was that the paste brought all out the formatting along with it. As notepad does not see the formatting it would give you the exact code and a clean copy from there. I am glad you got it sorted out.

Copying A Folder With Cpanel File Manager

Right... left. I don't know anymore. Not in the southern hemisphere but I did grow up in the south so maybe that is the reason. -
Copying A Folder With Cpanel File Manager
TCH-Rob replied to harvey_s's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
When you select copy, use the folder list to the right to find the name of the folder you want to put it in and then click the name of the folder. It will copy it in to that folder. Can my response be any more obscure? -
Welcome to my world.

I am just a forum mod at the moment. I am going back to school to get a new degree but my formal education at the moment is in computer.

As usual, I can be of no help in providing a solution but let me welcome you to the forums.

Just thought of something. Sometimes when I copy something from a webpage, the code from the page in cPanel and paste it in to FP it copies the HTML that is used to display that code in the browser as well. Try copting it from cPanel, paste it in Notepad then copy what is displayed in Notepad and paste it where you want in FP. If that does not work, PM me and I will see what other options we can come up with.

And here I was going to say that it is Outlook and not our problem. Must be why my fifteen accounts sometime sporadically fail to connect.

Let's wory about getting the site up first. Just try publishing without the public_html part. One step at a time. If that works then we can delete the other folder. Forget about the helpdesk for now.

Try publishing without the public_html and see if it puts it in the proper directory.

Yankman30, Welcome to the forums. Though I am not a fan of frames, you can work it that way if you wish and it should serve you for what you are doing. I have not tried something of that nature so I cannot say if there is a better way or not.

So you are pasting ><form action="/cgi-sys/entropysearch.cgi" target=searchwindow> Search Query <input type="text" name="query" value=""> <input type="hidden" name="user" value="cPanelname"> <input type="hidden" name="basehref" value="http://qualityniknaks.com"> <input type="hidden" name="template" value="default"> <input type="submit" value="Search"> </form> using Front Page. Are you pasting it in the normal or HTML pane? If it is normal then that is the reason, it should go in the HTML pane. To get it in the right spot, click in the normal pane where you want it to go. Then click the HTML pane and paste it from there. When you go back to normal view it should be where you need it to be. Should this not work, let me know and I will help take a closer look at it.

Scott, The hard part is we have few people from Brazil so I cant give an accurate answer. I believe osCommerce will do the trick for you however I cant promise that there is a shipping calculator that works for your country. Have you gone to the osCommerce site to look at the shipping modules for it and see if there is a Brazilian shipping module. Heck, for all I know you won't even need it and can run it right out of the box. I am sorry you did not get an answer before but it might be because no one has the answer.

You are not crazy. While I would not use one in place of the other they can perform many of the same functions on a basic level.

Installing A Badword Filter In Phpbb
TCH-Rob replied to harvey_s's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
phpMyAdmin is installed already. You can log in to it from your cPanel and insert those lines via a cut and paste. Shouldn't take more than two minutes. -
No difference that I am aware of. All of the servers are lightning fast. No, we have a large number of overseas clients I have no answer for the last one. We migt want to wait a few for that answer.
