The entire process is automated so when you select purchase and pay the registrar payment is automatically sent to the registry. In this case .coms are paid to Verisign. They do not give refunds and in turn the registrar will not as well. I would park the misspelled one on the good one and not have it auto renew.

Thomas, If you do not use then than you may remove them. I do not have them in my folders. Back up your .htaccess file, remove the extensions, restore the .htaccess if needed and you should be good to go. Look in the .htaccess and see if there is anything related to FrontPage and remove that line.

I am not staff but I believe everything we do is based on cPanel for the configuration, well WHM. As far as I know it can not be made to work any other way.

Ok, someone stop me if I am wrong. This is not going to work. All a subdomain is doing is being an alias for a folder beneath the root folder. Changing it to your example would make the URL become Players.domain.net.domain.net. It is all based on command line and UNIX naming conventions so unless UNIX command line has become user friendly I cant see this being a possibility.

Can you stream on shared servers. Yes, to a point. It eats up bandwidth fast and depending how often accessed could be a resource hog in a shared environment. You could try the dedicated server route if you wanted but obviously it is a little more costly. And you would need to be the copyright holder of the audio in question or have permission to use it.

You may not point a separate domain name at a sub-domain. You will need a second account or throw the other name out all together and use sub.domain.com

You do it a bit different than I do. I make the subdomain and it will automatically create dir/subfolder. Then I upload my files and it works. I don't know if that is the issue but it may be worth a shot.

Kolibri I misquoted a bit, things have been changing a bit around here. It should be; "Your subdomains are allowed to be used for any legal purpose. You may not sell the subdomain space to others, nor may you point other domain names to your subfolders. Sub-domains may not be used to host other domains." What you have shown in the link should be ok under the new rules as far as I know. I think this should also keep us safe from F-Zero_Racer Fear not, someone will correct me if I am wrong.

You may only host one domain per virtual account. You may not conduct hostee or offer free web hosting to people based on your subdomains.

You bet, You can change the primary domain tomorrow, in 3 days, in 3 months or even 3 minutes before hosting expires. All you have to do is open a help desk ticket and it shall be done.

MikeJ, She knows that, so do I. She is a mod for half of them. I have no idea why she does what she does. I try not to ask, I sleep on the couch enough. I even offered to register a domain for her and set her up some forums that she can have instead.
