It looks like the animation is cycling through once viewing it in this forum - but just once... EDIT: Does it loop properly on your pc?

Are you using style sheets? If so, you could probably do something like: a img { border: 0px none #000; text-decoration: none; } If you're not using style sheets, try <img border="0" ... />. Not sure if that works. It's either because it defaults with a border, or because it is encapsulated in an <a> tag. Good luck EDIT: Sorry, I just noticed this is the Dreamweaver/Flash forum (checking from new posts). I haven't used either, but this is a more general answer. Sorry!!

I know!!!!! I noticed yesterday. How did you do that??

Beautiful site Nancy!! One problem though - It doesn't display the background for the body in Mozilla (Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape all on WinXP), so I couldn't read the white text against the white background. Strange thing is that the 'home' page displays the grey background. I think if you update your doctype to <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> it will display fine in these browsers. It does locally on my pc. Anyway, if you're concerned... So what did you make your pinhole camera out of?

This may or may not be related (as i'm not too sharp with mod_rewrite), but is mod_proxy installed on our servers (mine is 50)? I was trying to get this to work too, and it seems the "[P]" sends the request through mod_proxy. I could be way off here...

Got mine! It took some time though. Their servers are pretty busy with two new releases...

Thanks Ali! I have Opera, but I am looking for a text-only browser. Lynx is exactly the kind of app i'm looking for, but from what I understand (very little ), if I can't get the japanese characters in say- a dos window, i'm not going to be able to get them in Lynx either. I just wanted to be able to test rendering of text-only pages that use utf-8 or shift_jis charsets. I'll play around with Opera's configuration and see what it can do. :Nerd:

If you wrote the image to the page using document.write() or something, and then used css to position a transparent gif(second image) over the entire first image, you could prevent a user from right clicking and saving the first image. If they were to right click, they would be prompted to save the transparent image. If they disabled javascript, the image would not display, and so therefore they would not be able to right click and save it. All this can still be bypassed by looking in the browsers cache though (as mentioned above)... Just a thought.

Right on Raul!!!! I found an extension there to do tabbed the way I want. I didn't want every link to open in a new tab or window (not sure if that was clear), but if say the link (javascript) said 'hey, open me in a new window' , then I wanted it opened in a new tab instead. Works like a charm! Thumbs Up I've actually had Firebird for some time now (Phoenix), but started using it as my default only after reading your IE warning, and a few other posts that convinced me to give it a try. I did download Thunderbird on your recommendation, but since I mainly use yahoo mail, I never really used Outlook that much. I won't let my wife open Outlook on this pc (and recently changed the names of the executables to keep IE/Windows from launching it). Thunderbird's great though - although I haven't got into it much. I was wondering if my theme problem wasn't related to the fact that I have multiple versions of Firebird and Mozilla on my pc. I used the zip files for Firebird (not the installer), but i'm wondering if it's still trying to share 'profile' data with another version or Mozilla app. They are all installed in different directories... Anyway, themes are the least of my worries (but will check the forums). I'm really enjoying Firebird. Everyone should give it a try!!!

I was just able to log into cpanel (server 50). You might want to put in a help desk ticket.

It might be because a:active and a:visited were not explicitly specified, whereas 'a' covers all? Although if the page was refreshed rolling over the links shouldn't activate 'active' or 'visited' properties.

I've been using Firebird(0.7) regularly for a few days now (Thumbs Up Thanks TCH-Raul for your helpful prodding away from IE ). I love it, but I notice it seems to forget settings i've made, particularly the theme setting. If I close the browser, and reopen it, it seems fine, but every once in a while it reverts back to the original theme. Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone know how to fix this? It's not a big deal, but I couldn't find the info on their website (haven't checked for forums). Also, while i've got the attention of Firebird users, is there a way to set it up so that when I click on a link, it opens in a new tab (never a new window). Can I override that setting?? I like the tabbed browsing, and am still adjusting, but it's confusing as hell to have a window with five tabs and then three other windows without tabs (to exagerate a little...). Any ideas?

No ideas? I thought one would be hard to find... Thanks anyway !!

Congratulations Tracy!! ( = looks like a party hat to me...) -
Can anyone suggest a text-only browser for WinXP? I'm looking for one that can display Japanese text (shift_jis in particular), but install on non-Japanese Windows. I can't get Lynx to work in this way under English Windows ... Thanks in advance!!

Just wanted to give my two cents as a customer. When I signed up with TCH, I was prompted to use mypaysystems (same as paysystems?). Everything went fine, but the next day I got an email from them stating I didn't meet their credit card fraud screening requirements. They cancelled my order, and immediately stopped contact with me. TCH suggested I contact them, but mypaysystems never responded to my emails. I logged into mypaysystems' website, and submitted requests for them to review my account, and they completely ignored me. I was really worried I had made the wrong choice coming here (after contemplating it for over a month), but when I entered a ticket, the Head Guru himself cleared up the problem immediately. I've still never heard from mypaysystems, and can't recommend them in anyway, since my experience with them was so terrible. That said, I haven't regretted the decision to come here one bit, and i'm glad to be part of this family. Rock Sign

Anytime Tracy! Jim beat me to the punch though

If I take out the width for the TD tag, it looks fine in IE6 (and the same in Firebird). Maybe IE adds extra padding or something and it makes the width too small...

Big Gorilla - Do you see a folder and a zip file both named "Pictures...."? I can't see them with anonymous, but they are there. All I see with anonymous is the incoming directory, which was already deleted and disabled. That's really the problem, and i'm not sure how I screwed it up... I guess i'll put in a help desk ticket. Thanks.

I'm actually having a problem with my anonymous ftp on server 50. It stopped working a couple days ago. Can anyone help? It used to login automatically on Mozilla/IE. Now I get a 530 error on Mozilla and IE reprompts for login and then shows me the directory, but it's empty. I tried changing the permissions on the files too, but they still don't appear for anonymous. LINK REMOVED What am I doing wrong?? Is there a way for us to configure ftp accounts manually (outside of the cpanel)? Sorry hatala, my post's not much help for you...

After reading the 'smiley adict' thread, it seems we may need more smileys!! maybe? You know the service must be excellent when that's all we can suggest... Kris
