Nope -- this .htaccess is in this folder. I have a separate one in my main .html directory. Could folder or file permissions affect anything? I have them set to 755 in that folder and in the file in question. It's almost as though the .htaccess file isn't been read. This might help: Before doing this, I also tried password-protecting the directory using cpanel. That also didn't work -- even though cpanel said it was set up and an .htaccess file was created in the folder, it still let anyone access the folder without a password. So I'm wondering if there isn't a setting of some sort that's not right...

Hi, I'm trying to restrict access to content in a folder to only visitors from a certain IP address. I've been told to include the following code in a .htaccess file in that folder: <FilesMatch "\.(rss|rdf|xml)$"> order allow,deny allow from 216.88.179. allow from from 68.32.175. deny from all </FilesMatch> However, when I upload that .htaccess file to that folder, nothing happens -- anyone can still access that folder. any one have any suggestions?

I've set up a forwarder on one of my e-mail addresses and Spam Assassin appeared to keep working on the forwarded email. But when I then deleted the inbox and just keep the address forwarding, Spam Assassin stopped filtering the mail sent to that address and all the spam got forwarded (don't worry, it's not an AOL address). I would like to keep filtering my mail sent to this address of spam, so that the spam is not forwarded.... but I don't need to keep the mail in the inbox on TCH servers as well, as I'll have to keep emptying that. So.... does anyone know any way to keep filtering the mail sent to my account, that I'm forwarding, via Spam Assassin without keeping an inbox on TCH servers.... Or, if not possible, a way to automatically delete all the email from my inbox after a certain number of days or after it reaches a certain size, so it doesn't fill up? Thanks!

Hi. I just installed Dadamail and need to send a weekly newsletter to about 5,000 subscribers once a week. I've read the suggestions about using batch send -- my question is what I should set it at... i.e. what is the maximum TCH will let me send at once, over a period of time?

I'm looking for a service or software product that will let me send out html newsletters automatically generated from a live web page, to a list of about 5,000 subscribers...as well as enable people to sign up on their own. Anyone know of any systems (preferablly cheap or free)? Thanks

Hi. I'm trying to use mod_rewrite to refer any URLs with my domain to a Weblog hosted by Typepad.
