Hi David, welcome to the forums If you try sending from a normal email account from your account on the server (to effectively replicate what dadamail is doing) do they arrive? What I'm trying to do with the above question / test is to determine if there is a problem sending to those email addresses anyway or if it's something within dadamail.

Hi Bluelightnin, welcome to the forum I'm not really familiar with Cart It myself I'm afraid. If you look in the error log in your cpanel, are you getting any errors listed there?

I have a reseller account, hence usually just set it up on another account, test it, and then swap it over when needed. To do it on the same account, I'd install the new site in a directory, set the .htaccess to block anyone else from going in that directory, and test it until you're happy. You can then update the .htaccess to swap access for everyone else when you want them to see the new pages.

It depends which graphics package you are using. I like GIMP (partially because I'm a firm believer in Open Source software, but it's really a great package anyway), so I'd suggest a motion blur or tileable blur. If you want the streaks more (as you have them now, rather than just a blur) I would use add "wind" noise, which you can do from several different directions. I just checked in a couple of other packages, and the "wind" noise seems the most common one amongst different packages, although you may need to apply it several times with the wind from different directions.

Hi ck27, Normally the call will be within 12 hours of you requesting the account. Did you open a ticket at the help desk, billing department? That's the best way to sort things out, as the mods here don't have access to billing information. One of the key reasons for checking with the owner of the card is to help prevent spammers and others who cause probelsm with phishing etc. Fairly obviously, they don't want to use their own name and credit card, hence use stolen cards etc. We have a zero tolerance with such things so we think the phone call and checks are needed to help protect all our legitimate users from having the server on some blacklist because someone signed up illegally for an account with a stolen card, and then used it for illegal purposes. We are proud that we don't have that problem, due to the precautions we take.

Hi ck27. They will try and call more than once, so don't worry. You can always open a ticket at the help desk (link at top of this page) for the billing department, and suggest a time that would be convenient (put "unknown" in when it asks for username and password" on the help desk form)

What operating system are you using? On XP the command would be >CONVERT C: /fs:ntfs (assuming you wanted to convert the CD drive, and could boot far enough to get into XP and then the command prompt). Why do you want to convert it though? Is it for security reasons? Or just because it wants to check the c: drive on bootup, because of an error somewhere ?

Welcome to the forums If you compress the images, it also means that you use a lot less bandwidth. As has been said above, the Starter Plan should be fine.

These are usually in your "Windows\Web\Wallpaper" directory, so you can delete them from there in file manager (assuming you mean all the background bitmaps and jpg files.

If I understand you correctly, you want to test exactly what your page looks at, on your computer at home, with the pages locally on your machine at home, but without installing php - correct? If so, then if you want it trully accurate, and especially if it includes any database work etc. you can't really do it without installing PHP. If you want to get an approximation, then I think you can get an idea in some programs, but it's only a rough idea.

Hi Etheline, I'm glad you have it sorted. As was stated in the initial responses by Dick this is due to "ownership" of the files. As clarification, for anyone else reading this thread, the "owner" depends slightly on the server setup. On our servers, since the files were installed by a script then the owner is "nobody", rather than your username (or joomla). If you then try logging in with your cpanel username to modify files you may not have permissions.

The round trip flight for delivery might be a bit expensive - it would be nice to see you though. Maybe it's time to do a bit of on-line searching for new toys ....

I'm not sure how to convert an image to a vector graphic, but if you create a rectangle the right size (115px x 109px) with "Rectangle roundness" of "55" in fireworks mx 2004 - then you should have what you need.
