Let me ask you guys a couple of things: 1 - What's the difference between +R and -R? 2 - I've heard that a movie DVD has more data in it than you can fit into a regular blank DVD purchased at a computer store. I can't tell you for sure because I don't use Windows myself but if I recall correctly, you have a text box that says something like "files containing the following words". EDIT: OK, I went to my dad's computer to check it out: after entering the search window, select "All files and folders" and then you'll have a text box that says "files containing the following words or sentences"

Phillip, that code should work. $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] should be evaluated into "/home/username/public_html", not "/usr/local/apache/htdocs". Can you please create a PHP file with just <?php phpinfo(); ?> in it and check the output value of the DOCUMENT_ROOT variable under the "Apache Environment" section? As I said, it should read "/home/username/public_html". If it doesn't, please submit a help desk ticket so one of the admins can see what's going on.

Knoppix (and ll other Linux distributions) is not an application nor a file that you would open with Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Powerpoint. It's a full Operating System, just like Microsoft Windows. That means you can use it on a computer that doesn't even have Windows installed. Think of it as a replacement to Windows To make it work, you'll have to set up your computer to boot from the CD-ROM drive. You have to access your computer BIOS setup and change the boot device option. Can't tell you exactly how to do it because it differs from system to system. Shouldn't be too hard though and if you can't do it, you can always look at the manual. After that, you just insert the CD-ROM in the drive and turn the computer on. It will boot from the CD and load Knoppix.

Sovereign, the correct one is "name_dvddb" and yes, that could be the source of the problem (having to change the database name in more than one file). Assuming you're using Windows, you can use the find utility to look for a file containing a certain text string - look for "dvddb" and check the files that you get on the result.

I've read somwhere that MS was going to drop IE's support for the "http://username:password@www.website.com" authentication. No big deal, right? It's just another standard that Microsoft is ignoring but who cares, right?

If your other site uses cPanel, you can drop a Help Desk ticket and the admin guys can transfer the whole site for you (sorry, I didn't remember this earlier).
