Good examples...If you watch the screen you will see a flash of the pop under going through and sure enough a pop under appears. I checked out the forums at Firefox and it seems like it could be a java type execution. I tried a few suggestions from the forum members but nothing seems to work all the time. I even tried downloading "Ad Muncher" and it did nothing but screw up FF so I uninstalled it. Its weird how now Microsoft has found a way to stop this and it is now being exploited in FireFox....Bummer youneverknow

Update: Today I found that the pop unders have returned....Boooooo youneverknow

Using FF 1.01 and I too have noticed ads for Vonage actually popping under. When I close a window there is that Vonage ad. It can be seen at certain sites like drudgereport.com. I think I have to agree. youneverknow

I can't take credit for these gems but here you go.... Real Signs and Advertisements Signs In a clothing store: "Wonderful bargains for men with 16 and 17 necks." In the window of an Oregon general store: "Why go elsewhere to be cheated, when you can come here?" In a Pennsylvania cemetary: "Persons are prohibited from picking flowers from any but their own graves." On a Tennessee highway: "Take notice: when this sign is under water, this road is impassable." From the safety information card in America WestAirline seat pocket: "If you are sitting in an exit row and can not read this card, please tell a crew member." On a Maine shop: "Our motto is to give our customers the lowest possible prices and workmanship." On a delicatessen wall: "Our best is none too good."

Xp Home Edition On Laptop Keeps Crashing
youneverknow replied to kelvin's topic in Operating Systems
Hi Kelvin, One other thing you could try if the system restore does not work is put your XP disk in the drive and eventually you will come up with a screen that says install windows xp. say yes then their should be an option to do a repair. Try this option and see if that helps. Be sure to back up your data I agree with the others who have posted above. If newish get another one from warrenty. youneveknow -
Here is a link to an article that appeard in our local paper. Apparently some entrpenour is making hunting animals a business on the web. For a fee you can hunt pigs. Cameras located on the farm track the animal and the person using the web site can remotely track a high powered rifle to kill the beast with a click of the mouse. I hope some law will stop this practice but knowing Texas law it will probably be OK. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/214...motehunt07.html What do you think of this? youneverknow

Firefox now has the update available by clicking the (left) icon under the "close window" "X" top of browser window.. Clicking this will check your version and suggest the installation of version 1.01. I did this on two computers and it works well. It also saves all the tweaks I made in the about:config section reccomended in this forum. youneveknow

11. To protect your investment in that new DVD-/+RW, soak five or six cotton balls in alcohol (the higher the proof the better), place them in the tray and close it then hit the eject button to open it back up. Do this several times. Don't worry if you lose one of the cotton balls, just replace it with a freshly soaked one. 10. Over time, sound cards can get clogged up and start sounding muddy. It's a good idea to periodically go into the sound control panel and turn all the volume sliders to maximum. Don't forget turn the speaker volume to max, as well. 9. Computer cases, like aquariums, can become dirty and develop a layer of scum on their inside. To keep your computer scum-free, it is a good idea to buy a few snails from the local pet store and place them inside. 8. Floppy disks are meant to be floppy, the floppier they are the better they work. You should, on a regular basis, bend your floppies back and forth several times to keep them from stiffening up. 7. Every now and then check for loose hardware. Turn your PC on then pick it up and shake it as hard as possible. If something wasn't installed tight enough, it will have shaken loose and and you'll be able to hear the rattle. Dropping the PC from a few feet onto the desk surface will accomplish the same results. 6. If your computer is locking up, it's because it's tired and sleepy. Pour some fresh-brewed coffee on the motherboard to wake it up. 5. Keep that 15,000 rpm SCSI drive free of contaminants and running smoothly by squirting lighter fluid on it once it's reached operating temperature. 4. If you've made unwanted changes to a document or spreadsheet, just use the handy "reset" button to reverse the changes. 3. When using a microphone and speakers, place them as close to one another as possible to achieve the maximum desired effect. 2. Make your own wireless devices. All you need to do is install the recommended wireless card then you can cut the wires off your keyboard and mouse with a regular pair of scissors. 1. If you currently have a glass top desk for your computer desk and you're thinking of getting an optical mouse, be aware that the mouse will not work correctly on the glass top desk. You will need to paint the bottom of the mouse a solid color. Black works best.

Edit: I just reread your post and see that you have spelled it out already. So disregard what follows below except for the WELCOME John, keep in mind that TotalChoiceHosting is primarily a web hosting service. TCH does not give specifics as to web design. That being said, I am sure there are people (TCH Users) that can maybe steer you in the right direction. If you could tell us what your goal is or could point to a site that you would like to emulate that would be a good start. As mentioned above, MT has their own forum and quite a few forum users here use MT. Just give us some specifics on what you want to accomplish as there may be other less stressful ways to do what you want to do. By the way, welcome to TCH (I am just a customer here like most of us and I am sure we could guide you in the right direction) youneverknow

Generic Host Process For Win32 Services
youneverknow replied to TCH-Thomas's topic in Operating Systems
I found this on the web which makes sense if Bob is correct "A windows repair install will often clear up windows errors. Just boot with your win. CD and follow prompt to install windows, then "repair installation". You shouldn't lose any of your data, but its always a good idea to back up just in case." Hope this helps but, youneverknow -
