VI, you can do this also. Turn off the spam box and create another email account to forward all messages spam assassin considers to be spam. Then you can add this account to your Outlook to check. That's how I set mine up until I was sure SA wasn't catching good email.

Hey gang. We had a Dell laptop that just started powering itself off. After contacting Dell they suggested that the motherboard needing replacing. So the motherboard was replaced and we sold the laptop to a friend. All was well with the unit for nine months and now it's starting to act up again powering itself down. Dell only gave a 90 day warranty on the new motherboard. Is this really a motherboard problem? Anyone else have any experience with Dell laptops and this sort of problem? Any ideas of what else to look for? Or is it another screwed up motherboard? Any ideas would be appreciated.

What you are asking to do is not permitted according to the Acceptable use Policy. To host multiple domains requires a reseller account or multiple shared hosting accounts (one for each domain).

This is me speaking personally and has nothing to do with TCH. I am a customer not an employee of TCH. That said, I have a simple question for everyone wanting to host multiple domains for $4/mo. Come on, how much cheaper do you want it to go? I came from a web host that charged $29/mo for a single domain. I purchased a $5/mo account here and have more bandwidth and disk space than I had for $29/mo. The smallest reseller account is $20/mo and you can host as many domains as will fit into the alloted space and bandwidth. If $20/mo is to much to spend and you have only 3 domains then purchase 3 $4/mo or $5/mo plans. If $4 or $5 a month isn't resonable I don't know what is.

How many are getting through? There isn't a way to block 100% of SPAM that I have been able to find. I get 4-10 SPAM messages a day using the same setup as you have. That's down from 30-40 a day in one account and 60-90 in another account. I use K9 (http://keir.net/k9.html) on my desktop when popping email to catch the SPAM Spam Assassin doesn't catch.

Well, I don't know if you can truly plan for a DOS attack but they are dealt with as they occur.

MikeJ is correct, I did not do my test on a TCH server (I do not have shell access, nor do I need it). I have Linux running in my office and ran a test here. My apologies for adding to the confusion. As for this being a configuration thing, I did not know. So as Raul said, I learned something today.

No, that's not entirely correct. The original problem is the files and directories being created were not created under his name but rather with "nobody" as the owner. So he could not change those since he was not the owner. If you have ownership it is possible to give ownership to another user. But once doing so you can not get it back unless the other user changes it or it is changed from the super user account "root".

Well, mine was a test. I logged in as a user, changed the ownership of a file and it did it. Tried changing it back and received a warning I could not do it because I was not the owner. Logged in as root and changed it back.

While that may be in the documentation. You can change the ownership of a file you own under Linux. But once changed to another user you will not be able to change it back without having root permission or logged in as the owner the file was assigned too.

You would have to upload your cgi script up to the server using an FTP program or the file manager in cPanel.
